Hi, i need your help in deciding between these two 5.1 speaker sets:
Currently I have 4 PSB Alpha bookshelf speakers running as fronts and surrounds and an Alpha center as the center channel, which I bought back in 2002. I am moving to a new apartment, and in the living room it comes with tv stand unit prebuilt onto the wall.
Now due to depth constraints and not having the ability to wall mount the tv, my current center speaker is too deep to fit infront of the tv, and there isn't a shelf below to place the speaker there.
So I'm looking for alternative system that has a "thinner" center channel that can fit infront of the tv and I have come across these 2 KEF sets, the T305 5.1 System and the KHT3005SE 5.1 system. Price wise they approximately cost the same (around $50 price difference between the two).
So, which of the two sets do you think will produce a more "fuller" sound. Will they produce a better sound (especially the center channel) than my current PSB setup?
If it helps the AV receiver that will power them is a Marantz SR8002, the system will be used 70% TV/Movies (Blu-ray/HD-DVD) and 30% Music.
