It should record 9 minutes each weekday. But instead, it always records the entire 35 minute program (no early start or late ending).

Is this a known bug? Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Someone in the Dish 622 support forum at DBStalk.com should be able to help.

Interesting. I'll try later and let you know.

Recently, I noticed a strange problem when playing back recorded content from the 622 DVR. There is pixelation whenever images are rapidly changing (changing camera angles, fast action, switching from programming to commercials, etc).

-The pixelation is not in the source material, since 'Live' TV does not exhibit the problem.

-All recorded content, whether it is from the satellite or OTA tuner, exhibits the problem.

It's not my projector or AVR or anything, because no other source has the problem, only DVR content.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have not noticed the problem, but I will keep an eye out.

You should have gotten new software within the past few weeks. Try a hard reset and see if that clears up the problem.

I didn't notice last night. But I got a new machine about a month ago. The power supply in the old one died, and I needed a replacement.

FYI on the 622
Try pluging a antenna to back of the 622 back in 2005 I did this work great now I could record 3 shows at one time. If the dish was out still was local channels with it smile.gifsmile.gif
Today I have gone to Antenna only no dish 62 channel as I found out biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

FYI dish will not tell you this works just try one day happy days

Can the VIP 622 pass 1080p or am I stuck wirh 1080i?
Since there are no 1080p channels there is no need for 1080p output. Your tv will convert 1080i to 1080p.

Dish reportedly only offers 1080p for Video-On-Demand to MPEG4 capable Receivers.
Here's a TEST you can do to check your system:

I upgraded to the Hopper a while ago, but i think there is 1 VOD channel on the 622/722 recievers. So yes, your vip622 can output 1080p. But other than that one "channel", no.
