I couldnt sit closer as I only have some 11' between the screen and the
PJ. I have left some leg room between the coffee table and couch.
Fortunately IN72 is not loud so it doesnt bother me.
My goal was to have a 2.35 constant height but the DIY prisms I bought
didnt work very well with IN72 at full zoom. There was a lot of bow to the image and it wasnt as sharp with the prism. I didnt want to spend $2k for the pro lens.
BTW: The big black out cloth is actually made of two 5'x8' rugs from Walmart, $18 each. The top is felt cloth from Joann. Sides and bottom
are frames made of hardboard and 1x2's. They all just stand on the
carpet as I made a base. Nothing is attached to the wall.
Basically it is a poor mans solution to a HT in a light colored living room :-)
Who wants to spend some $15k to build a cave in the basement,
especially in this economy.
I would buy another IN72 if it is still available direct from Infocus now.
I am just waiting for them to either bring out a 720P IN72 or
drop IN76 under 1k.
