Thread Starter
i went to a local retailer to take a look at the Sony DVP-NS75, ($129) while i was looking at the shelf i noticed that they had a DVP-NS90V ($80) sitting there in obscurity. if i decide to get the 90 will it work as well as the 75? (same chipset?)

The Sony DVP-NS90V ($299.00 retail) should be a model up from the DVP-NS75. It's definitely a very nice player for the price

I am looking at this player as well for my den. Looks like a good one. Secrets agrees:

NS90 adds SA-CD support over NS75.
But...the NS90 was the step-up from the NS70 which had the squeeze/shift problem when using 720p or 1080i over HDMI. Some NS90 owners have reported that the NS90 also has this same squeeze/shift problem as the NS70.

Does the ns90v come with an hdmi cable in the box, and what is this squeeze shift problem? I have a Panasonic dvd s77 which is no longer available, and my friend is trying to decide between the cheaper Sony ns90v or the more expensive Panasonic dvd s97. I know the Panasonic will work great, not entirely sure about the Sony.
