In general, most anything on ebay or like sites will not have a mfr's warranty.
I don't know about Samsung but most mfr's will not honor warranties under a number of circumstances:
- not purchased NEW
- not purchased from an "authorized" reseller, NEW or not
- item not intended for US distribution (or whatever region you are in)
Some mfr's don't care and will honor any warranty on any product as long as:
- item never registered before
- item never been in for service before
I know of several people who purchased KNOWN brand new factory sealed and US market items from both ebay and even online retailers (not Samsung products) and the warranties were not honored by the mfr cuz they were not purchased from an "authorized" reseller.
One of the tricks to getting around this is to register your item with the mfr and list it as "gift" when they ask which retailer you purchased it from. Again, some mfr's accept this while others will not.
That's the price we pay for saving $$$$ using such sites.
