And the foreign (except for MHz Worldview and the Korean channels, which are the only ones to ever regularly subtitle their foreign-language programming in English here, and are the only ones showing any foreign programming that I actually find worth watching, anyway).
And the countless mirrors.
All I know is that, in a market as big and diverse as Chicago, a tuner with the ability to delete subchannels is a necessity. I probably block out well over half of them.
By the way, we don't even have any
weather subchannels left here, anymore. I actually wish
we still had them, as long as they're going to keep those slots opens and use them for something. Not that I ever watched them, but they've replaced them with regular-type (but again, worthless) programming with more movement, and stole even more bits from the main, HD channels to support them. The stationary weather channels only needed the most miniscule of bandwidth.
