Hannah is a strange situation at this point I can't tell if she's a love interest or he is interested in doing what he loves. I am still thinking it could be both but it's not another Lumen.

Hanna's clearly a naughty girl, and it looks like she recognizes a kindred spirit in Dexter. It's almost like serial killers give off a certain pheromone. They can literally smell each other out, at least that's what the show might be saying.

Conveniently, Issak is now on ice awhile so they can develop the Hannah plotline.

But not for long. Everything Dexter described about the crime scene indicated Issac acted in self-defense. He might have been able to fudge the details and make it seem like Issac had fired first as if he had come in to kill the Colombians but he didn't. When Issac gets out, I'm sure he'll want to thank Dexter personally for doing such an accurate forensics job after trying to get him killed.

To borrow a pun from Goldeneye, I hope Hannah will be "onatopp" of things this season.

The key distinction regarding Hannah's 'habit' is the nature of her victims - unlike Dexter, they were innocents who happened to be in the wrong place (hotel room) at the wrong time. Whether his attraction to her (if it exists) or his recognition of her evil motives wins out will be interesting to watch. For the sake of the viewers, maybe a bit of the former prior to the latter, please? smile.gif

To me it feels like the other way around. I think LaGuerta is setting up Debra! Had a theory, let Masuka find out about the lab knowing he will run to Debra. So if she is right Deb would try to get involved and cover Dexter. LaGuerta has almost always outsmarted Debra in every opportunity!

Doubt it. LaGuerta may be vindictive and backstabbing, but she's also dumb.

Which was shown we she herself got screwed over by upper management.

I think you guys are underestimating LaGuerta. She's a Snake

I have loved this season's Dexter shows. Although, I thought last season lost a step, this year the revelation of Dexters' "problem" to Deb has setup some fascinating plot twists. The ambiguity of just where LaGuerta is coming from in her quest to find the real Bay City Butcher have made this season's shows even more fascinating. I am amazed and impressed at how much more imaginative and creative the writing of this TV series has been, than Jeff Lindsay's novels over the past few years.

Was that sloppy? eek.gif

Good episode.

This was the first episode this season I thought was a little off. That last seen was over the top hot and heavy, great chemistry made up for alot.

I'm really interested to see where they take this Hanna storyline. It seems so straightforward now with all of the backstory of poisoning, but almost too obvious.
Do The Wrong Thing indeed, as in 4 times in this episode. Deb's antenna is fully operational now and I'd say
it was one hell of a first date for both Morgans. So much for Issac being out of the way for a while.

The moment Deb learns of Lumen, it has to gain Dex some credibility. Well, just
Hell No and Get Out. That didn't go well wink.gif

I didn't like it at all, because Dexter is once again getting sloppy (what's new?). The more "human" and emotional he gets the more likely he is to get caught. Perhaps that is the point since this is the second last season.

Yes I agree.

Didn't Dexter let someone else live after he had them on the table? I keep thinking there was another person but I can't remember who.

The blind witch doctor, right?

Also, the more desperate he is to get a kill, the sloppier he gets. Setting up a date with someone and then killing them on a date = getting caught.
Well, certainly didn't expect that last scene to go that way. eek.gif Dexter seemingly got turned on by Hanna's total lack of fear of death. Must affect him on some primal level. Like it or not, they're teammates now.
It looks like Dexter has become fully human as far as males go - she kills bunnies and old ladies, but she's hot, so whatever ...

Are they going to get into deep philosophical discussions on the way of the serial killer? Zen and the art of wasting bad guys?

It sure does. I did love the line of "I want to take you out," though. My wife and I laughed out loud when he first said it.
That was great, wasn't it? Because you could tell he wasn't quite so sure himself if it meant "date" or "date with the table".

They do have a great, morbid chemistry between them.

Didn't Harry kill himself? He was saying heart disease is what "got" him.

Yup. I don't know why Dexter didn't correct him, but yeah, you're correct.
From a realistic standpoint (yeah, I know, TV show...), wouldn't it be a little creepy for a girl to wake up unexpectedly, strapped naked to a table, when you were supposed to be on a date? That implies the guy stripped you down. Of course, then he shows up wielding a knife and wearing an apron... plus you're a murderer.... nevermind. Seems legit.

Guys, this isn't "sloppy" writing....it is what's to be expected.

The more "successful" and longer their "careers" are, the sloppier most serial killers become.
This is a reflection of their ego/arrogance and an elevated sense of invulnerability these a$$holes seem prone to.

Check out some true crime stuff, especially books from FBI Profilers.
