Okay, so since we're on the subject, who does everyone prefer (looks wise/total package): Hannah or Jamie? biggrin.gif

I simply think Doakes was super entertaining, and he pretty much made me laugh out loud every time he talked. He was great, but to each their own.
After reading that entire interview with Scott Buck, Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
it seems you folks with an E-Boner for Hannah will be pleased with next season. wink.giftongue.gif

Regarding your spoiler...
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
yeah, they want her back...hopefully, they can sign her. In another article Buck stated that she would more than likely be more of a threat to Dex than Deb and that the plant she left was a black orchid. Her love/hate for Dexter might be a very interesting arc...leaning more toward hate if I read between the lines correctly

She's been that way all along in dress. Last night was the first time her part
included something more than benign little sister mode.

After the seeing Deb shoot LaGuerta I can overlook, somewhat, the shenanigans with Hannah's escape from the hospital. Other than that, excellent episode. And, boy, was it great seeing Dokes again! What a great character he was.

My girlfriend actually! But in the pretend world I would choose Jamie without hesitation. Latin women for me win hands down, if you are dating or married to one you know exactly what I am talking about.biggrin.gif

Watching it again, I really loved the "Auld Lang Syne" ending of the episode. Very eerie and fitting end to the season.

Should old acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot and days of auld lang syne?

Goosebumps.

I think I'll watch the first two seasons over just for Doakes lines. lol

There has to be something more to the "gift."
Poisoned perhaps?

They did a great job of looking back at Dexter in the first few seasons. Was all that reshot or were those scenes from 6 years ago. The geeky Dexter with the Donuts was always good.
The last seen when he was in his kill outfit and Debra walked in was cool.
So now there are two woman in Dexter's life who know what he really is. The difference is Debra is good, until last night.
I don't think we will see Hanna again.

'Dexter' and 'Homeland' Hit Highs With Season Finales
By Tim Kenneally, TheWrap.com - Dec. 17, 2012

The Season 7 finale of "Dexter" and Season 2 finale hit records on Sunday night, with "Dexter" hitting a record for a Showtime original series and "Homeland" reaching a series high.

The 9 p.m. finale of "Dexter" drew 2.75 million total viewers, making it the highest-rated program in the show's history, and drew in 3.43 million total viewers overall for the night -- the network's best-ever total-night delivery for a Showtime original series.

Sunday's "Dexter" finale was up 14 percent from the season's premiere, and 23 percent over last season's finale.

"Homeland," meanwhile, drew 2.3 million total viewers with its initial 10 p.m. airing, a 32 percent increase over the season premiere, and 2.7 million overall for the night, up 31 percent from last week's total and a series high in for total-night delivery. (In first-airing comparisons, Sunday's "Homeland" fell-just short of last week's initial broadcast, which brought in a record 2.36 million total viewers for the series.)

Both shows had reached series highs with last week's episodes.

* * * *

I'm still five episodes behind (basically all the shows since I went on vacation last month) and I'm not emotionally ready to handle seeing them right now due to some personal issues. When I do get around watching these episodes (hopefully Christmas day) I hope my fragile little mind can handle what I expect to be mind f***s of epic proportions going on right now in Dexterland. wink.gif

Anyway, she's out in the wild now, and probably long gone from Miami.

Agreed. I don't know about Hannah though she seemed to be looking around Dexter's apartment before the scene changed.

Part of the fun in S01-02 Dex. Warming up to the crew in MMetro. Batista (heart of gold) Deb (FKism) Masuka (bad comic perv) LaGuerta (Snake) along with the fantastic "Mambo Kings Style" Cues. The flashbacks served the episode to a point.

I think it was just a perverse parting gift, or possibly a combination of gift/veiled threat. "You screwed me over and never forget I can return the favor".

That being said...I don't know why an escaped felon with pseudo-celebrity status in the law enforcement world would linger in Miami.

Have to agree with Sharp - Latin Girls! Knowledge of Puerto Rico here, but Cuba looks nice.

Obtaining permission from la familia who carry Weapons would be a first priority.
It could get very expensive wink.gif

Anyone know if Yvonne Strahovski is in NYC right now? I swear I walked right past her on the street on Saturday, but I wasn't 100% sure.

Remember.....alcohol and orgies solve everything.

Serial killers operate on a different standard of logic.

Dollars to doughnuts some lawyer came up with the idea. I wonder how many first time viewers there were who might not know there's violence and would have missed the TV-MA screen with Violence listed as one of the things?

I think she's doing a play on Broadway right now. It was mentioned in one of the post-finale interviews somewhere.

Someone in Showtimes's public relations department, probably. They don't want to be seen as "insensitive". It's a kind of Kabuki Theater, a well-rehearsed dance we go through every time something awful like this happens. After a week or so the news cycle moves on and we go back to "normal" - until the next time. And there's always a next time.

I'm sure you're right. It's hard to imagine someone being so naive as to be unprepared to encounter violence on a premium cable channel, but one only needs to look at all the ridiculous warnings on every consumer product to see what the lawyers think is necessary. rolleyes.gif

As a father of two small ones, I would chose Jamie, because she is ALWAYS taking the kids off your hands with a smile. My wife and I yeall at the tv everytime she goes WAY beyond nanny responsibility. But as a single man, I would have to chose Ms. "white shirt/black bra".

You know she was wearing a black bra under the orange jail uniform, though. smile.gif

Like Dexter, I think I am in love with Yvonne Strahovski's Hannah. I hope the showrunners can figure out a way to bring her back next season. She is one of my all time favorite Dexter guest star characters. In the role, Strahovski projects a combination of sexuality and intelligence that is hugely appealing and damn near unique.

I think Deb's descent into criminality in order to protect Dexter has been fascinating. Creepy but fascinating. It's a patented Dexter twist. I really worry about Deb because her love for Dexter has convinced her to abandon her morality. There's no telling where that will take her but wherever it is it can't be a good place.

Dexter, of course, is still Dexter: a brilliant and devious serial killer. I have been surprised that Dexter's turning away from Harry's Code in order to coverup his crimes should surprise anyone. At his core, Dexter has always been a sociopath, no matter how he has tried to make himself believe that he is not.

I thought this season of Dexter was as outstanding as last season was disappointing.
