I think Deb's descent into criminality in order to protect Dexter has been fascinating. Creepy but fascinating. It's a patented Dexter twist. I really worry about Deb because her love for Dexter has convinced her to abandon her morality. There's no telling where that will take her but wherever it is it can't be a good place.
Dexter, of course, is still Dexter: a brilliant and devious serial killer. I have been surprised that Dexter's turning away from Harry's Code in order to coverup his crimes should surprise anyone. At his core, Dexter has always been a sociopath, no matter how he has tried to make himself believe that he is not.
I thought this season of Dexter was as outstanding as last season was disappointing.

However, in all due respect, keep your stinkin' paws off MY Hannah!

Seriously though, this has been one of the very best seasons of the show and looks like there was a real decision to end the show on a bang (excuse the bad pun).
I can hardly wait for S8.
BTW, for those interested, I stumbled upon an interview with "Maria LaGuerta."
