I see that the NHL is indication providers producing games in HD on the schedule.
http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&page=Schedule
This is not complete since I know for a fact that Rangers, Islanders and Devils home games on MSG and FSNY are done in HD, but it's a start.

Where do you see HD on Center Ice on your DirecTV? - I don't see it listed anywhere.

[In addition to tonites Sabers/Canes Versus HD game on 95, there are also 2 back to back CI HD games :) tomorrow nite.

Flyers@Penguins and Blues@Sharks

This is a suprise because I do not recall many CI HD games from last year.
All this plus Fridays local game on 96 and Saturdays HDNet game will bring the total to 5 HD games for the opening week.[/quote]

anyone's cable system have center ice HD games up?

Why do I have no HD hockey???!!
Comcast Cable - should be on INHD right now but there's nothing but the logo and some lame music. The feed is on in SD on ch.71(VS)

Up an running on INHD in Detroit via Comcast.
No problems, started right on time at 7pm.

Exact same problem here. Game's playing on the SD Versus channel, but just the INHD logo for the HD feed. You'd think Comcast could get the HD feed for their own Versus channel right.

Oh man, it's on now....30 minutes later. Was on hold with Comcast for about 15 minutes, just gave up on them.

Better luck than me. The brilliant minds at my Comcast provider appear to have just shut INHD1 off altogether. I'm getting no signal on the channel now.

Looks good here in Sacramento area. This is why I just got my plasma. It is all that I thiught it would be.

Vs. game in HD on DirecTV channel 95. Looks fantastic.

Here in Canada, Expressvu lets us HD/Center Ice customers down again. They are not showing the Buffalo/Carolina game, only in SD. However, we do get the Ottawa/Toronto game and then the Dallas/Colorado game on TSNHD.

That vs. score bar is to wide and goes to far down on the screen.

The video keeps freezing on the SD feed. Is the same happening on the HD feed?

Seems fine on Comcast / INHD in Detroit.
No picture, no sound, no game. Comcast, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Called and talked with a supervisor. "The head end is working on it," they say. By the time they get the stuff working, the damn game'll be over! ARGH!

Anyone know when the HD RSNs are coming to FIOS? I'll be the first in line... I can't even describe how angry this has me!

----
UPDATE:
INHD is still out. Black screen, no audio. Game's been over for a few minutes now, wound up watching part of it in SD... never did get to see a single frame of HD hockey tonight.

----
UPDATE 2:
It's 12:12AM EDT, and INHD is still broken. So... not only did I not get to see an HD game tonight, but now INHD is a black screen with no audio! Awesome!

Agreed.

Nope, it's fine in Detroit via Comcast / INHD.

Curious?

It seems that 90% of the comments relative to college and NFL football deal with the "unwatchable" broadcasts of fast action sports. Why no such complaints about the NHL product? Certainly fast action sports!

I was saying the same thing, but I did notice a slight flickering every now and then, did anyone else see this? I was watching on Boston-Comcast ( INHD1).

Not only was the quality of the game great, but the picture looked good too

I wish Vs. all the best of luck on their sophmore season with the NHL.
A good start for year 2 for Vs. Maybe broadcast guru John Shannon had his hand in this.
Even the snippets they used from the summer Cup tour were in HD.
Now if we could only get them to do their doubleheaders in HD....
I wish I could get some HD games besides what I'll get on NBC. I have Charter and to my knowledge they have no Vs. or INdemand HD channels.
Does anyone have any pictures/screen caps of any of the games tonight?
Was the TSN game in HD on Center Ice for DISH?
Got to see a little bit finally (about an hour and a half until Lost came on). Same complaints for me as last season....went from dark to light a few times, the cameras are just zoomed in way too far, etc... I too had many a flicker and audio dropout - would go into a pixelated macroblocking effect about once every couple of minutes. I also never heard anything coming out of the surrounds even though it was a 5.1 signal.
For the VS. game on INHD through Comcast digital, sorry, forgot to mention that...

Totally agree. It was the first thing my wife and I said when we tuned in. We both can't wait for the HDNet way of doing the scoreboard.

No problems at all with the HD feed on DirecTV. Was very impressed.

Could be the grass with football causing issues with the encoders. "Swimming grass" symptom. Hockey has the plain (more or less) sheet of white ice while basketball has the solid floor. Just a thought.

CAR-BUF PQ looked great on INHD via Comcast here in Philly. However, the scorebar is the worst. Too big, too low, black shading above it. Not to mention that it was cropped for SD so it didn't extend all the way across the screen. Made the game unwatchable for me, it basically turned my 32" LCD into a 26"

Does anyone know if ALL of the OLN/VS games will show on D* ch 95 this year? Last year I hardly saw any there until the playoffs.
