It is faintly and I do mean faint...visible vertical banding to the right of the screen. It is more like an optical illusion than a band - it is very faint and a non issue at lower backlight and brightness.
I have one dead pixel in the upper right quadrant under red full screen. I cannot see it unless the screen is red and I am within 2 feet.
They ran a full batch of various de interlacing tests and 1:1 pixel mapping etc. All passed.
They were unable to get a full synch of signal at 1080p 24. I know some folks have asked about it.
They ran a full spectrum of test using 3Dmark - paid version and their word - "passed with flying colors" - no motion, aliasing artifacts or trail.
I can also attest that the pictures from this series of tests were quite stunning. Looked like some video gaming tests. They were thrilled with the results if that is meaningful to anyone familiar with these tests.
They then played Call of Duty & Battlefield 2 (PC) and stated they had no motion blur - and the typical kids words to describe what they saw
I heard "dude" alot.
The following 360 games were played to further test motion blur...
Ghost Recon: Modern something or other
Project Gotham Racing 3
No motion blur from any...
I had no idea the set could look as good as it did with the above material. Shows you how much I game
I will leave it up to Shinraven for pics.
I also tested all avmodes with the backlight all the way up and all the way down. There was not a single sound to be heard. We turned off the air and all other ambient noise - listened in a silenced room. There simply was not a sound eminating from the set regardless of backlight settings or av mode used.
Given I have only 1 dead pixel and whatever banding I faintly have will never be seen cause my backlight will never be set that high - this set is a keeper so far
