I read today that they have filmed two season finales. One if renewed, and the other if cancelled.

I still enjoy the show, but the magic sorta dissipated a couple seasons ago. Now instead of being a show I have to watch immediately, it's become a show that I need to watch, but there's no rush. Jack Donaghey is still one of my absolute favorite characters ever on TV, though. Alec Baldwin is a comedic genius.

LOL ... fair enough ... but still a drop in the bucket compared to many.

What I meant was that at a certain point, one may not feel the need to comment upon every episode or plot point ... we just watch, enjoy then move on to the next show cued up on the DVR.

Nothing wrong with a lot of posts

thought the first of the 2 shows from last night was great.

excellent writing. very funny.

too bad couldn't record it and had to watch live as had dual recordings
of ncaa games going.

Worst episode of 30 Rock ever. This show is really going downhill.

Considering the two shows last week were two of its best, I'll disagree. Haven't watched the new one yet, but the series is definitely trending back upwards in the past month.

last night wasn't a keeper. i don't think this show can last if alec baldwin doesn't return next season.

it's really his show now, not tina's.

I dont think NBC has even picked the show up for next season. There was talk about next year being the final to tie it all up, and that it may not even be a full season.

I thought it was amusing. I enjoyed Hazel showing her assets.
I thought this was actually one of its funnier shows this season. Still, it's really about time for it to call it quits.

Was a pretty good episode. I also enjoyed Hazel's comment about Jenna's genitals.

But you know a show is probably nearing its end when it does an entire episode pointing out how the show keeps repeating itself. To call this the worst episode of 30 Rock is misguided though. That honor falls to one of many of last season's episodes.

when we will know its fate?

i hope it does return for one last season so long as alec is still part of the cast.

nbc keeps forcefeeding the office to us, this show deserves one last season with an intact cast. still one of my fav sitcoms going. and a lot of the new sitcoms that have come out over the last year aren't even as good as this show in its (7th ?) season.

I thought last week's episode was one of the weaker ones of the season. I am still enjoying the season as a whole, though.

I think Alec has said that he would come back for another season.
Alec confirmed today that next season will be the show's last, and also confirmed that he will indeed be in it all season.

good to hear. it deserves one more and then it will be time to go. nothing like dragging an overcooked sitcom through an unnecessary season.

just look at the death throes of the office.

was watching last thursdays rock, and thought it was pretty funny with jack and his mom, and then we get a very rare thunderstorm in these parts and knock our local nbc affiliate off the air. lost about 10-15 minutes.

not happy. can anyone give me a review or should i wait for reruns

If you're in the US you can stream the whole episode for free on Hulu.com or NBC.com. If you have an iPhone or iPad, NBC has an app to stream it.

I think this might be the only show on NBC that is either still on the air or that I bother to watch.

Didn't he say the exact same thing last year?

Maybe, but this is the first year that Tina has also stated next year is the last.

True - I think Baldwin just blurted out his thoughts on the show @ that time last year. In this case, we have the lead star/writer/show runner stating it as fact.
i thought he said last year that this year would be his last, but implied the show could still go on without him.

now we know there is no show without him.

I couldnt imagine this show without him. He's pretty much the hub that everyone comes to.

last 2 shows were best of the season.

they are back in their groove.
I'll admit I have missed a good chunk of this season but after watching last night's episode.... yeah 30 Rock is starting to get back to what has worked for the show in the past. Enjoyed the episode.

Just watched the latest episode, and loved it. Usually Community is the highlight of my Thursday evening, but lately 30 Rock has been it again. Loved little Liz and thought it was hilarious when Tracy tells Jenna that he's never made a mistake, but then refers to her as her real-life name "Jane".
