Clubfoot, thanks for the input. In my case however, that would not work for a few reasons:
- in my room, the direction in which the driver fires makes a lot of difference. Having it in my seat would not lend accurate results.
- I would have had to build a certain stand since it would be too low if placed in my seat.
- the darn things are HEAVY! I would rather slide them on hardwood than lift them...
- last, no one but me gets to sit in the sweet spot...
As soon as you said 'the direction in which the driver fires' I figured you had an open room to another room, if this is correct then yea, it changes things. I couldn't tell from the pictures of your absolutely beautiful room/setup but the picture of the kitchen kinda lent weight to an open adjacent room.
My room is rectangular and closed/sealed so I didn't have any problems placing my single f113 on the sofa to run some REW graphs/tests. The hardwood floors would make it easy to slide around
On a side note I would love to see what your REW graphs look like with all the treatments and dual subs.
Have you thought about wall mounting your turntable on a Target wall stand, I have my Systemdek II on a wall and it really helps with the isolation.
Very nice room BTW, it's clean, I like the colour choices. and the kitchen belongs in a magazine
