"That being said, at SVS we talk to our customers every day, and so many of them (you included) told us to offer the gloss option, that we are adding it back to the SB-2000 and should have it in a few months."

That's 1890s ceiling wood. What year was the room put together.

(if I'm right, that's some valuable wood and you could sell it for a pretty penny)

Hehe i wish it was biggrin.gif . But the house was built in 1995 tongue.gif . It is pretty much ordinary wood not worth any extra money smile.gif

The new SB2000 cost only a little more. I could always sell my SB12 NDS and buy a pair of the newer SB2000's. But i would rather have them in Piano black.

Here are pics of my setup... The new PB 1000 is placed in the left corner by the couch hidden from view rolleyes.gif. Both my subs are positioned on the side wall at about a 1/3 from the back wall where the TV is mounted. I have moved the subs around and this placement produces exceptionally well for my space. For any of you out there that doubt the validity of two subs all I can tell you is that it makes a significant difference in producing bass that is married together so well that the result is that you don't know its two subs producing it. However, remove one of the subs from the equation and it leaves a gap/hole in what is being produced. It still sounds really nice, but its more isolated than the experience two subs produce.

While waiting for the PB 1000 to arrive I was playing around with the Klipsch SW-110 that I had and pairing that with my PC12. It sounded nice and I actually got it dialed in to the point where it was enjoyable to listen to as part of the mix. But, it did struggle to keep place in intense base intensive scenes and music at louder levels. Insert the PB 1000 paired with the PC12 and its seamless - to me there is a good deal of validity of pairing subs produced from the same company - they simply play well together.

A pity, but mine's buried, too.

Working with REW and my new PB-1000 (and old RW-12d), but there's too much noise in the house now.

I did more listening test even since my last post of impressions and the SB13 is growing on me. I can't believe I even doubted the SQ. I also calibrated it with my old receivers audyssey and I get over 100db at 20hz and 90+ all the way down to 12hz. This is with the master volume only at -20. smile.gif......so all that worrying before was for nothing. I'm definitely going to need antimode for my pioneer SC37 then.

Too bad it has to go back......for now.

If I get the SB2000 would SVS let me upgrade to the SB13 again in a few months? I hate having to go through all this but things happen.
If you can, just step up and get what you want. As encouragement, get the Ultra. You know that's where you want to go and later, buy a mate.
I do want the Ultra but it turns out I'm not able to afford it right now. I don't want to use my pro sub 1000 again after hearing the ultra( someone in this thread mentioned that would happen) so I want the SB2000 until I have the money again for the Ultra.

Is it possible to get the PC12 Plus?

With all the returns and upgrades going on, give them a call and see if you can get a killer deal on b-stock. All they can do is tell you; "Oh, hell no!" tongue.gif
post #13196 of 15623
I doubt I'm going to get an Ultra for under 1000. lol.

It's ok. I can wait. I'm just wondering if they'll let me upgrade later on from the SB2000. Or I can just avoid all this hassle and deal my old sub until I'm ready to buy again.

Oh snap!! You have to give it back? That has got to be disappointing to say the least. I feel for ya

If you upgrade with in the year of the purchase date of the SB 2000.

They give you full credit and all you pay is return shipping and forward shipping for the new sub.

How much is shipping?
not much, for return of my PB1000 it is 30 bucks and I think 60 for the PB 2000. It will also depend on location.

And for a full credit of what you spent its not a bad deal. Also they give you a 5% discount for being a return customer so the 5% discount helps offset the shipping charges.

Great "Bill of rights" they have. Go check it out.
