I found a used pc13 ultra I might check out but again I need to go slow and make sure I have thought about everything.

I do know I'm going to be discussing svs with an uncle of mine soon.

Hey Bugg, and for anyone else interested,
On A'gon there is a PC-13 for sale up in Portland Oregon. For the price, if you're close, I would say it's a no-brainer. I don't know the gent, but I konw my 13 and would pay more for it then what's being asked.

He's selling his sub to me already. Just got some cash today and I'm siked or stoked lol. I'm still going to be talking to my uncle about svs and I may even buy another one for my measly 15' l x 12' w x 8' h room. Lol.

If I remove whatever is bolted, I just fill the holes, put a dab of glue then smooth the wallpaper back in place.

Believe it or not, I don't like the look of the tv on the wall. Not to mention that this wall has plumbing, both regular water, and water for the sewer, and electrical.

I have come up with a soultion that I believe will work using two 4 x 4's on the back side of my tv stand, and move the front speaker all the way up to the front of the tv stand. One 4 x 4 will support the top shelf, and the other will go under the bottom shelf to the floor. You woun't be able to see either once the center channel is on the shelf. I cut and painted the 4 x 4's today and will let them dry a few days and post the new pics towards the end of this week.

Well. The seller of the ultra said we'd meet at a store in the parking lot and I'd just buy it there. This isn't normal. Sets up a red flag. I said I need to make sure things are ok and that it has the sound I like if I'm going to buy it. So well see. I don't wanna hand over $ unless I know things are working and it has the sound I like. Hmm.

I've now had my new PC12-Plus for about a week, it's my first sub ever, and what a discovery it has been! a whole new world has opened up to me. One additional octave makes all the difference.

I listened to part of "Saving Private Ryan" with the GF, and many times it was so overwhelming and frightening that we were on the verge of putting it in pause for temporary relief.
I specially liked the battle with the tanks near the end of the movie; it is most impressive when you see a tank pass 10 ft. from you with sound so realistic that, with eyes closed, you'd think it is actually passing in your living room. these things do weight 50 tons!
At one point, my GF yelled out "this is so real, it's frightening!"

I'm going to order from svs pc12-plus. Jack and Ed at svs have emailed me and really helped me a ton for a while and I really really appreciate them both! They deserve my business. They deserve to be rewarded. So I'm with svs all the way.

I might even ask them both to autograph my sub for me.

Man I can't wait till Svs get a B-stock pb12, I wonder if I can imagine how big of an upgrade this would be over my Energy S8.3

I'd call or shoot them an email. They may have a B-stock one that just hasn't been listed as B-stock yet on the website.

Placed my order and going to love the sub for the pc12-plus.

God bless you guys and gals.

Svs bstock is more like a stock perfect condition.

You can't go wrong with SVS Products and Customer Service. They go above and beyond to earn and keep our business. American Company to boot! SVS represents what American businesses were in the 40's and 50's.

You are going to love your new Sub! It will make all your Blurays and DVD's new again...

No autograph. They don't work from the Ohio facility. Jack was very nice to email me what my cost is with my 2 day shipping request to have it Friday. Also I asked to have build pictures taken if possible so well see. I'm very curious about the build process.

I was thinking it would be nice to have their autograph maybe on the amp in an empty spot. My sub could then be like a special edition collectors item

Is this the DVD you both are playing, or the bluray?

I have the DVD and have been meaning to watch it, but haven't gotten to it yet since I've had a sub, much less since purchasing the dual pluses.

Hurray! It was a frantic day yesterday trying to get my speakers, but they finally arrived!

To start:
So I went and checked UPS's delivery history for my house and on average they delivered the packages at around 4 pm with one delivery being at 3:30, pretty constant in my mind. So I planned to leave work early to be home at 3 pm just in case... well when I was leaving work, two guys standing outside asked if that was my bike as I walked to it and I said yes; apparently I had a nice nail in my tire . So I rode home cautiously all the while trying to get home fast enough to make it by 3. Once I get home I run to the front door to check and low and be hold, the UPS guy had been there at 2:36! Bah! So I call UPS and try to figure out what I can do and they say they'll call me back in a hour. Well, in the mean time, I take the tire off my bike, take it to cycle gear and have then put on a new one. I finally get the call from UPS and they say that the driver wanted to make a second run tonight so he didn't have to worry about it tomorrow anyways, so hurry home! haha, so I hurry home and finally at 5 pm the UPS driver shows back up with an empty truck aside from my speakers! I help him unload and get the in the house, woo hooo! So I start the unpacking and setting up and of course I'm interrupted part of the way through, I have to go pick up my tire, but here are the pictures I have so far and hopefully tonight and through this weekend I'll have more pictures and impressions.

P.S. Do mind the mess in the house/room, buying these speakers has kind of made me decide to redesign everything in my "theater", so it's a work in progress.

Look at all those speakers!

Let the unboxing begin!

Placing the first sub:

Unboxing the first STS Tower:

Unboxing the SSSs:

SSS next to STS:

I know, I'm missing some pictures, I'll get them soon, I promise!

Ransac,

Anyone who does the required time can retire. Min is 20 years. You don't get much at 20, but you can retire then. Maximum is 30 years service. Unless you make Flag Rank (Admiral) then you can stay longer. Their are a few other exceptions, like broken service or prior enlisted time once you earn a Commission (Officer).

I am not an Admiral. That would be my Wife

Added the Emotiva XPA-5 today. And WOW the MTS's sound completely different and alive. When running in Pure Audio mode, only the left and right MTS's are working, and I have to get up and put my hand on the Subs in disbelief that they are not on!!

Using my sound meter I got 105 DBs with the AVR at -10! Was afraid I would blow the windows out of the house if I went any louder. Crystal, crystal clear natural sound is just awe inspiriing...I have done NOTHING all day as I can't pull myself away from the sweet sound to do anything else...

I find that the MTS-01 is quite power hungry. If you have enough horsepower to drive it, it is actually quite rewarding for its sound.

Now, I am going to save enough and get a 2nd PB13-Ultra subwoofer to have smoother response. Wait... maybe a SB13-Plus will do too.

Thanks for the explanation, but I was just pulling your leg. I was in the Navy and made it all the way to E4. That was at a time when you were probably still in Huggies.

My New PC12-Plus arrived today. As advertised it's a monster. The UPS driver knocked on the door to let me know my "Air Conditioner" had arrived. I guess he was partly right, it does move a lot of air....

The obligatory unpacking glamor shot:

I ordered a PC12-Plus yesterday Tuesday and I upgraded to 2 day shipping so I could have it Friday. I got my tracking number email and am very very anxious for Friday. I'm hoping I like this sub a lot.

I prefer a warmer deeper sounding bass from a potted sub and I don't like the sealed sound. Hopefully this PC12-Plus will make my ears warm.

Scamps,

I have the ONKYO 5007 AVR. It is rated at 145 Watts. But when driving 9 channels I doubt if I was getting 50 watts per. When I swapped out the Klipsch speakers for the MTS's I was advised/warned I might start clipping the Amp. Perhaps the XPA-5 is overkill, but I did not want to take the chance of damaging my speakers and the upgrade performance is dramatic. I was skeptical right up until I turned the Emotiva on and heard it.

The 5007 ran everything just fine actually. But I was afraid of pushing it. My room is quite big. Approx 26 x 28 x 12.

hey guys, been lurking for a long time. ive got a room about 3400^3 and about half thats being used for ht. My budget is about 700 and ive been looking at the PB-12, how would this sub perform? i know this is a larger room, but 700 is the top of my budget and im hopping this would work, and maybe later when i could get some more cash (were talking next summer) i could get another. other thoughts were HSU 3.3, outlaw or the new legend. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Lambo

Emotiva and SVS are a fantastic combo. I've talked to Ed Mullen in the past about Emotiva and he's a fan.
