The film was originally mono and I doubt that source elements exist to make anything more than a token effort at a stereo soundtrack.
VistaVision did not support true multi-channel sound. They did have something called Perspecta sound that is not comparable. Hence, none of the films done in VistaVision were in true stereo.
The MGM sound department did record "High Society" in stereo because they were so annoyed at this (it was not released at the time), so we have a true stereo recording of that film.
Both Vertigo and North by Northwest have been given stereo soundtracks, and efforts were made at The Ten Commandments several times, with limited degrees of success.
We are probably just as well off to have a mono track of The Searchers.
