Problem with new Neodigits H4000

I was exciting to receive a new H4000 last week. I bought this player just for a upscaling via VGA output .
I connect it to my CRT Sony 1271 via VGA/RGBHV . First i put a DVD Mr & Mrs Smith .. it did not read , then i put a another DVD Golden eye , this time it read , then i set via set up menu the different resolution 720p and lower and had no problem but when i set resolution to 1080i , the screen become dark and no OSD . I turn off the DVD player. From this time i cannot turn it on again even on/off on a player on on a remote control, even the main on/off button behind the player, no ligth display in front of player, no OSD , no even get back my dvd , the tray doesn't come out .
I send 4 E-mail to Neodigit from a week to explain and to ask to exchange or to return the player BUT i still not receive any reponse or answer. I doubt a quality of their product and a customer service from this compagny.

Somebody can give me a phone number of Neodigits .

Yeah I finally got my RMA today for my H4000. I bought it for my CRT (RCA MM36100) which dose 1080i via the VGA connection. The only setting that worked was the VGA and SVGA settings, anything higher I would get a scrambled picture, so I requested a RMA the same day I received it in the mail. It took Neodigits about a week and to respond back to my RMA request. When they did respond they wanted me to make sure the component connection wasn't defective by hooking it back up to my TV and checking it. After few days (busy with work) I unpacked the H4000 and hooked it up via a component to VGA transcoder (May Flash) and it worked. So when I replied back stating that the component worked fine, my reply would not go through because they put the service ticket status on hold instead of open. So I opened a another service ticket referencing the original ticket and today a few days later they emailed me my RMA.

Try 1-650-204-9852. I found this on their product brochure. Please let us know if it works for you. As I understand this company is based in Hongkong, not California but strangely they listed a 650 area code.

Thank Jeff , I think that Neodigits has their distribution center in USA . I let a message on an answer machine and now i cross my finger and hope to receive a phone call , other wise i am still not receive any E-mail . <<br /> It is a really bad custumor service . It said you has 14 days to return a DVD player and now it take me 14 days from my first E-mail and i don't get any sign from Neodigits .

I'm not surprised by their non reply. I sent two emails requesting for info on their H4000 dvd player as I was interested in buying it. They replied pretty promptly. However when I sent them a third email asking them about the difference between the H4000 and the OPPO 970HD, they stopped replying me.

OPPO on the other hand was really professional in their replies concerning their product compared to the Neodigits H4000. And they replied within a day.

I finally bought an OPPO 970HD. That was the best move for that I did. The machine is built to high standards. I'm glad I did not buy the Neodigits model. I don't want the hassle of dealing with a company with bad service and products.

I precisely buy this H4000 for the connection VGA output with upscaling signal. Now i known that Neodigits disappoints me very much for its product and its service.

Somebody knows another scaling DVD player having the connection VGA.

Hi there,

This is NeoDigits, we are so sorry to hear the incident happened to you.

We have replied you all the tickets you submitted, however, it seems like the emails we replied were blocked by your spam-email system, so that you have not received any reply yet.

If you can let me know some other email address, we can forward you all the emails we replied.

Hope to hear from you,

Regards,
Peter

What happened to Roy at Neuneo? He was better at replying to emails. I have their old HVD-108 and love mine. Still going strong 2 years later.

ALERT - This is a copy of an email I just fired off to Neodigits:

"When the HECK are you people going to release a firmware update for the H4000 player?

The piece of junk is FULL of bugs which I had since I got it 3 months ago!!! Errors includes as already reported when I got it, syncronization errors after a screen saver pause, Won't go to DVD menu after resuming (powering on) a previously started DVD movie, won't eject DVD when clicing eject and player is off - one has to wait for DVD to load and then click eject again!!!

It is now quite obvious to me that Neodigits has the WORST customers service of all the electronics companies I dealts with and I will now give you people two choices.

1) Release a firmware update ASAP!
2) Issue RMA # for a return

Should I not receive a reply of your intentions within one(1) week, I will contact my bank and have the credit card charges reversed and send the player back."

As you people can understand from the above email, I have lost my patience with this incompetent company. The website states that firmware updates will be released every 2-3 weeks, but none has been issued for the H4000 player released for sale more than 3 months ago, and even thought the many issues, the above and more was reported to Neodigits within days after I received the player as one of the first customers.

Do yourself a favor and steer away from this company, and their support is clearly and proven non-existant. From what I read on this website and from reviews Oppo is the way to go.
