Hehe. A&E-HD Does that really count?

Time Warner and Bright House added A&E-HD last week, but I don't think anyone cares cause we never made a post about it

No update here in Chicago yet. Haven't updated the channel lineups on their website.

How about if everybody only says when they DO get the channels added (or information on when the channels will be added) in their area.

We can all assume that you DON'T have them if you say nothing.

Could you share the channel numbers? I have Comcast in the Detroit area and cannot seem to find them. Thanks

I just called Comcast this morning to pay my bill, and I asked about adding any new HD channels. The CCR didn't no of any new ones to be added. A & E HD?? Who Cares?
yeah, i'm still waiting on Universal HD. but National Geographic HD is a welcome addition. I say bring on the INHD2 switchover now.
Boston has everything except MYNet TV (The local affiate I don't think even has a digital signal never mind HD.) and the two "new" ones.

We STILL HAVE INHD2.

What is My Network TV?
It is Fox's mini-network to replace the WB/UPN on its stations. It broadcasts Americanized novellas 8-10 PM Mon-Sat.

Oh please let this happen in Atlanta. I would gladly give them INHD and MHD for these. Would rather have Food Network HD and HGTV HD, but beggars can't be choosers.
What?! They have CBS-HD in Detroit? The CW-HD too? Oh man I would love if they added those here in Albuquerque. Maybe then I would be able to get rid of antenna.

Nothing new here in Bristol County MA except for WSBK 38 HD. Well, almost anyhow. it's listed, but not available yet.

How many shows on A&EHD and NGCHD are really HD vs. upconverted? Is it like ESPNs where there are still well over 50% SD? (not complaining about ESPN).

Thanks,

Rich N.

Not many. A lot of the programming on NGCHD originated 4x3 and is cropped to 16x9 (inexcusable!). Even the stuff that is in HD is no where near the PQ of the stuff on DiscoveryHD.

CAE's are told of channel launches about 48 hours before the company notifies customers. As such, it's unlikely you'll catch them with that info much before you'll see it in the local forums.

Here in South Jersey they NEVER notify customers of new channel launches.

I have an empty National Geographic section under HD On Demand/TV Entertainment. Maybe they will add the channel here soon.

Same here in CT. Too bad the programs aren't HD.
Same here. There is "Impossible Islands" and another program under HD ONDemand/Nat. Geographic. Too bad shows are not in HD.
I now have two HD shows from NGC On Demand, even though the channel hasn't been added yet. The two SD shows are still there also.

As of this morning, NGCHD (821) has replaced INHD2 (882) here in the Boston area. I'd tell you how it looks, but it's running an infomercial at this hour.
