I've played Motorstorm at the store at Circuit City and it does look fantastic and was very fun.. Love the nitrous and how you blow up if you over do it

I'm not the owner. But it's a Samsung HLP-5085. 720p. It was one of the best DLP's in late 2004 - early 2005.

I don't think anyone is going to beat SonnyC79's pics.

When you post in advanced mode, there's a little icon that looks like a postcard with a mountain -- to the left of the link icon. Just click that and put in the web address of the photo you are posting to.

Thoughtful picture posters keep their images to around 640x480.

If you plan on leaving the PS3 on top of your AVR, I'm fairly certain you will end up with a problem. Your AVR can't ventilate properly and will overheat. Because of this, your PS3 will also pick up the added heat and may cause an additional problem to your PS3.

You may already know this, and move it off the AVR when the AVR is on. Just trying to save you a future headache and additional expense.

You guys are killing me! Some amazing shots (Sonny and Viper - wow)... I've got this PS3 box sitting next to me right now, begging to be opened.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?! and with that setup, boy i would kill to be you....

1. I don't want to play RFoM in 480p (my main gaming HDTV is a Mitsu CRT, 1080i)
2. BluRay movies become mute via optical audio, no sound whatsoever

I'll wait and see if future PS3s come with a built-in scaler and wait for these software bugs to be resolved before I buy a PS3.

Sonny...which XBR2 Sony do you have? I had the 60XBR2 and returned it because the images were too shimmering...and foggy. It looks like you have a different one.

I watched Talladega Nights via optical cable last night.

What is happening is sometimes when the unit is switching from ProLogic of the dashboard to Dolby Digital of a movie or game, it will occasionally stick in PL mode, resulting in no sound. This has happen twice for me. Once I reboot it's fine.

I'll bet/hope there will be an update that fixes this.
