I'll wait and see if future PS3s come with a built-in scaler and wait for these software bugs to be resolved before I buy a PS3.

But back on topic, I'm loving these pics! Keep 'em coming

Reading more about it, it sounds like an issue with using HDMI for video and optical for audio. Check some of the other threads concerning it.

that shattered glass looks so sharp and realistic that for one second I thought it was the actual glass from your tv. It looks 3D.

what's your tv?

those shots look absolutely amazing....there might be hope for blew-ray after all.

I wonder why so many people say that ps3's BD playback is no good? Eric Bana's facial detail looks stunning.

Sony should definitely use these shots for marketing.

Well, I couldn't find one I liked, so I built it. There are almost no cabinets out there that are big enough to handle my center speaker - plus most stands are open air silver and glass - just not my thing.

And yeah, that broken glass is crazy, huh? Broken glass is the new water in video games.

Great quote.

Resistance does broken glass so well I'm surprised it's not in there more. From what I've notice, the first shot or two cracks it, then the next couple shots break it, and the final couple shots cause the remaining broken glass to fall out of the pane and smash to the floor.

The PS3 seems to really love physics effects.

Sorry, I got a little OT there.

OK Sonny, what is the model of the tv that you have? That is the best pic from a movie and a video game I've seen imho. Now I want a new tv and a ps3(and of course every other console).

Thanks, man! I love em!

Haha, yeah...still kinda messy and a work in progress, but why cant we enjoy BOTH the 360 and the PS3??! I am a dual-fanboy!

BTW...I have Gears of War pics in the XBR2 owners thread...that game looks better than any game I have seen on PS3 thus far (any game PERIOD, for that matter). While I believe PS3 has a ton of potential, GOW just knocked it out the park in the visuals department.

Spiff69: Great job on the cabinet. I think I'm going to have to do something similar.
Should have known it was home-made, I mean, custom...there's actually somewhere to put a center channel speaker!
Sonny- What kind of camera are you using?
