Nope just wait til all of this summer's action movies come out this fall/winter.

Do you mean Rise Blood Hunter?

any one measured the avalanche scene in XXX, the first movie?

and what about the tiny but impressive bit of bass in oceans 13, when they are shaking the foundations of the building, both times.

Species IV: The Awakening

Been slow to add things to the list as I have been busy.

Some one should plot Spices IV. Not a great movie, very predictable, but it does qualify for good bass, certainly out scoring 1408 in terms of impact.

Like I expected, the Transformers HD DVD is full of LFE. The big city battle at the end has some of the lowest ive ever felt on my HT setup. I dont have any time stamps yet, or a db meter though.

That's it? Must have been taken from the trailer. That's where the best bass is.

no that was coming from loudest..not necearily deepest, etc.

there are other scens
I can't wait to see how deep some of these scenes go, I am curious to see how much of a workout my subs are going to get.
There was a ton more bass then just those scenes. Every time the Transformers walked, my whole house would shake. My wife even said to me, "I thought you told me this DVD didn't have any Bass according to that list? Well, at least I'm getting a massage through the sofa, can you turn it up more?"

I do have to admit though, that instead of hearing action, they chose to go for music that was louder then the sound effects. I wasn't impressed with a lot of the fighting/shooting scenes, sound wise, but there was plenty of Bass with my PC13.

I only have those times from what I've seen people post, I don't own the movie nor have I rented it yet. So if theres more BASS then those scenes please mention them here.

Watched Transformers last night and WOW!! What a great movie for bass (great movie period IMHO). The scene at the end where the autobot dude is doing slow motion flips to avoid rocket fire is most impressive. My PB12 Plus delivered with authority, I almost cried
post #505 of 5738
known as the `Ironhide flip' on AVS...

ADD THE REAPING, DP!

I rented it but didn't get past chapter one....there was plenty of solid bass in ch. one. If someone else could post on it it would be better. I didn't realize it centered around kids getting killed,etc...can't handle horror movies involving that...period!

1:32 (-5 @ 10Hz!!)

there's more in it ...just won't be posted by me-sorry.

I wish I could feel your pain, but I don't have a PB12 plus. Oh well, my heart goes out to you!

2 things I was surprised with on transformers:

1. Bass is present in almost every scene! Everytime Prime talks, a robot walks, or pretty much anything that isn't speaking gets a nice dose of bass. At first I thought my receiver's EQ was set bass-heavy by mistake by I had it on tone defeat - awesome

2. Chap 19 (1:55:50) FLOORED me in theaters but for some reason didn't impress me at home. I'm running 2.0 with Paradigm 60's so although I expected more I can understand not getting subwoofer-grade sound. There might be a setting for night-mode (dynamic compression I guess) on the tv I need to check out before getting too disheartened.

Seriously a good all-round great sounding movie.

Is Rise: Blood Hunter on the list? It has awesome bass throughout the movie.
Not yet, apparently only us 2 have seen the movie
post #510 of 5738
I enjoyed the movie and it had some house crumbling bass!
