I will watching both "The Fountain" and "Seraphim Falls" this weekend as a double feature, based on these reports, by Monday I'll be getting a divorce!

mine does... specially if it's Celine Dion or the Grease soundtrack

My wife doesn't "like" bass per se, but she doesn't hate it or say she won't watch a movie with too much.

If she is in the theater with me, mine likes it. If she isn't, then she at least doesn't bother me
post #103 of 5738
My wife doesn't care much for home theater. I have her Directv DVR connected to audio input on her TV set. She has a Harmon Kardon speaker system with a decent bass module for her PC, but she never uses it. Her idea of good sound is her Bose table radio! Deep bass are not words found in this womans vocabulary.

Dr. Pain stole the waterfall man from the waterfall forum...

has anyone looked at how low the explosions were on `Catch a Fire'? 2 channel (we know how INaccurate it can be) was showing hot(-10) on low teens.

Pan's Labyrinth's `unborn brother's prayer scene' (rented it so no time stamp) was a purplefest. too bad the film was a bruise to the overhype king.

I just finished watching this one earlier. Couldn't play it too loud, but I was surpised a couple of times by bass even at low levels.

I'll be watching Apocalypto tomorrow. Hopefully at higher levels than today's The Fountain.

Hi
I just stumbled over this thread and I do love a bit of "doof" even though i'm coming up 49 in Oct, made my own isobarik subwoofer and for the first week it was making me nauseous because I was sitting in a "node".
The point of me posting was about the WAF, re earlier posts, mine don't like it at all , any way I put a terrific 450watt subby in the back of the ute ( Aussie for pickup) , took me a few days scribing the box in to get the max volume, it's pretty restricted space wise. when it was all finished I was very pleased with myself but not as pleased as I was to be a week later when we where sitting at some traffic lights when she turned to me and said
"You humiliate me wherever we go!"
Yeeee!!! Haaaah!!!!
I knew then that I'd got the settings right on the money

I dont' like the notion of peoples threads "disappearing". Its bad enough that whole threads go "missing" in the sub forums.

how do you have a DVD of a movie thats not even out in theaters yet? .....oh which Rambo movie you talking about?
