Guys with KEF KHT3005.....

Hey I just bought a kef 3005 and had a question. On the HTB2 subwoofer that comes with it... How long does it take for your light on top to turn from blue to red when you terminate the signal? I have the sub power set to auto and I thought that once the sub is no longer recieving a signal it turns off and the light on top turns red. I thought this was supposed to happen right when the signal end when I turn my reciever off but it takes about 5 to 10 minutes for mine to go red and turn off. Is this normal for everyone else?

Also is it ok to leave it switched on all the time(in standby mode/when light is red) or should I flip the switch on the bottom when Im done using it? They make the switch so hard to get to I assume that you should leave it on. Lastly did everyones sub come with the bass boost already set to +3db?

Mine also takes 5-10 minutes to go into standby (red) after terminating signal.

One problem I have had is that it takes a loud input signal to wake the sub from standby mode. I would have to crank the volume each time I turned my system on to get it to wake up. Finally, I just decided to leave the sub on all the time (i.e., blue light constantly on). It's a class D amplifier so it should not draw much power when there is no signal.

Any alternatives to the KEF Stands for the KEF 3005 Sat's??

Any suggestions other than the KEF Stands?

I just bought the kef ones. They are really nice. The stands came in the same individual bags all the speakers come in. I got 2 pair for $160 though. I would not pay full price for them. Not because its not worth it but because when its my money stands just are not worth that much money.

Sorry but they are the only stands Ive tried with them.

What was everyones sub db setting new right out of the box? odb,+3db, or +6db? Just wanting to know because I thought that it was odd mine was set to +3 when i took it out.

Zach, are they the bass enhancing stands? I just got the KHT 6000's with wall mounts and now thinking about the stands mostly for bass enhancement.
I also have the PSW 3500, I think the levels were all in the middle, there is no read out on the front, just a slide bar from left to right.

Anyone know this?

I got such a good deal because it was through Kef's CC accommodation program.

^I myself have been looking at getting the kef's through our accomodations. I have a thread up about the reference series. I just like floorstanding speakers over sats.
Congrats on your purchase.

Ya the XQ series is a steal with the deal we get but I just dont have the space for them nor the drive to spend money on the Rotel amp I wanted for them. Same with Reference.
