Top HD DVD Ownership

Instead of having bunch of polls for each individual movie.

This one poll will give a clear picture of the top HD DVD ownership on the forum.

Please select all the movies that you owned or is in transit.

Any guess on how they will stack up at the end of the poll.

May buy Terminator 3 eventually.

I currently have 17 HD DVDs according to my database but none of those.

You should add a few more movies like

Charlie and the chocolate factory
Pitch black
The rundown

I would have more movies, but the poll only allow 10 max.

Suprised to see so many have Batman Begins. Ill have to pick that one up and sell the DVD
post #6 of 152
I have all movies listed apart from T3, Training Day and Tokyo Drift.
Have all but T3 as I wasn't that big of a fan. The reg DVD will suffice.
Got all of them except Riddick, T3 and Training Day. Not sure the first two are worth the upgrade and I don't watch TD enough to bother.
I have all of those listed in the poll. I'm up to 95 titles now.
I'd be surprised if Batman Begins doesn't take the prize.
I have all of them with the exception of Tokyo Drift. Total I have about 39 movies.
Woohoo! I get to check all the boxes
Got 'um all except Fast and Furious.

Nice to see that a lot of members have most of these HD DVDs.

I have 8 of these, might buy Serenity and Riddick before Christmas.
Same here.. here no FNF:TD...
Only got 5. BB, KK, V4V, Mi3, and SR.
Very interesting poll! I would add The Searchers and Robin Hood to the list though.
Might think about adding Corpse Bride.
Haven't been able to find KK in a brick and mortar, yet, or I'd have all of those.
I have all of them

guess the picture is not clear at all

i think this may be well-intentioned but ultimately flawed since all these movies are in the same genre and therefore most will own most of these ...jmo

Out of 296 who voted, Here is the standing.

---Title-----------------Votes--------% Owned
1. Batman Begin---------250------------84.46
2. King Kong-------------239------------80.74
3. MI3-------------------209-----------70.61
4. Serenity--------------191------------64.53
5. Superman Returns-----170------------57.43
6. V for Vendetta--------169------------57.09

8. Training Day----------134------------45.27
9. Terminator 3----------123------------41.55
10. FnF Tokyo Drift-------91-------------30.74

So far, no big surprise at the top. I am suprised that SR jumped

V4V, Riddick, TD, and T3 when it only came out 2 days ago.

Interesting results. I wonder what drives the sales in the HD market.... Mainly on PQ or the movie itself?....

So, Serenity is a better movie than SR, V4V, Ridick, TD, T3, F&F or it just looks better?... I know it was a popular benchmark/show off title, but didnt' think it will beat more than Half on the list.
I have Batman Begins, King Kong, MI:3, and today I'm going to pick up Superman Returns.

I assume it's because it's a new release, that wasn't even on DVD before. Some people probably already have the other films on DVD (me included) and don't feel like rebuying.

I will rebuy BB. I tried to buy superman at Wally World, but they had the only one in HD DVD display. So i didn't want that one as i took one for the team. But I will get as soon as in stock.

Ps you should do a poll of where most ppl buy there HD material. I bought 7 titles last week when i bought my player a complete response buy. I will order A2 from robert just needed a HD fix real quick and I had the dough.

But I probably will buy online from now on.

Seeing as how alot is compared to the DVD WARS for amazon site I thought this would be a good idea to compare to. Just wonder how many other ppl have bought at B&M on impulse?

I agree with you about it being a new release.

I only repurchase some of my SD stuff.

Actually I had Serenity on DVD, upgraded for HD-DVD, in fact it was a large part of what pushed me into HD-DVD to begin with, great movie!

I have all except FnF3, glad to see thats largely the case with others.
