I just got my 2nd Subm HP so it is time for me
to get a little more active about my speaker and
subwoofer integration.
thank you for the details it will keep me busy for
quite awhile.
I keep hoping that if I wait long enough mabey
Chris Angel will have a wand for sale that solves
all my problems.
That will probably come out right after I win
The Powerball.
thanks guys
Submersive owners and JTR owners for that matter are
some of the most helpful individuals on the net

Is this a new official dealer of Seaton products in Hong Kong/China ? (link)
They even held a demo in HK earlier this month, you may see the report here. A blind(?) subwoofer shootout including a submersive and the Catalysts as mains in play.

i want one of those wands too... smile.gif

but until that happens, the audyssey setup guide is invaluable... since the audyssey threads are currently well "off the track" right now (hopefully they will get back on the track soon, but i'm not holding my breath)... if you have any setup issues, post them up here, there are several people who have a lot of experience optimizing audyssey results... smile.gif

Hi ken,

Thank you for the heads up on this comparison. Now if only Chrome's translator could speak "audiophile".

ChinaWay Electronics is a new distributor of ours located in Hong Kong. We are still developing and experimenting with the process for an international distributor, but they already have 6 Catalyst 12C's and 8 SubMersives. The SubMersive compared in the shootout uses the original 1000W amp.

Mark, thanks for the reply.
I knew that subM would rampage on the show even it's not the 2.4kW subm HP, though the pretty-maids-all-in-a row, drape-covered demo had its issues even in that large room ^^'

Also I was guessing that the emergence of the authorized distributor in HK/China would mark the dawn of the subM HPi (220-240V version).. at least in the near future. I know some are anxiously waiting.

No comment... that statement speaks for itself.

You can't go wrong by buying the Submersive HP. Buy 2!

Gotta add my opinion as a fellow HP owner - if you can handle the $$ you will not look back.

I've done head-to-head in my room with a buddy's Cap - both are just fantastic! Love the size advantage of the HP and its non-locatability in my weird room. The HP has never left me wishing for more on any film, but it is even more incredible on music. The HP is simply non-directional room-pressurizing mania. The boot-in-the-chest is so satisfying, along with its ability to nimbly reveal the most distinct and discrete effects just continues to cause silly grins every session. With the HP, each new movie becomes another confirmation that an extraordinary subwoofer can suspend my disbelief and truly immerse me in movie-land.

Do your future self a huge favor! wink.gif

I plan to vacation at Edisto next month for a week, probably visiting Charleston a day or two. Doubt I'll bring the sub, though that would certainly enhance the trip.

Anyone ever taken their sub on vacation?

True, however along with 3 Submersives (in my HT room), I do have 3 MFW-15's with my living room setup (Polk RT5000p) for regular TV watching, and dual VMPS Larger Ultra Megawoofer subs (with TC Sounds 15" PR's) powered by a EPX4000. Want to play?

Well you are just plain sick tongue.gif. I guess I don't have to but I will add my thoughts buy just saying get the HP. It has been a great sub and I have never really looked back from getting the regular SubMersive then upgrading to the HP. So mac_hs10, just get one or 4 biggrin.gif. I really don't think you will be disapointed

You guys tempted me to order Band of Brothers and The Pacific smile.gif

If anyone is still looking for them, gohastings.com have them used for a reasonable price, and they are currently running a 40% off 2-day sale (you will need to order 4 items, promotion code SUPERSIZEME).

I ordered Band of Brothers (Bluray), The Pacific (Bluray) and 2 WII games shipped for $44.
If you landed Band of Brothers on Blu-Ray by itself for that price it would have been a good deal, one of my favorite series of all time and great presentation of A/V.

Received The Pacific and to my surprise, it was brand new sealed and shrink wrapped instead of used smile.gif

Haven't received Band of Brothers yet.

Any Submersive F2 or HP owners wanna let Ricci borrow your sub for a review? I'd love to see one biggrin.gif

Read through the last 50 - 100 pages of this thread and you will find a
plethora of owner reviews. Those are the ones that count.
You can even ask questions if interested. There are some
exceptionally smart individuals on this thread. (Not Me)

Let me don my flame proof suit here:

No offense, but there is something comforting about Ricci's measurements than even 100 pages of glowing reviews can't provide. To put it a little more bluntly: its one thing to believe you own a great subwoofer (and there is little doubt in my mind that the Submersive is a great subwoofer). It's something else entirely to know unequivocally that you have a great subwoofer.

Proceed eek.gif

Probably about a year ago I offered my Submersive HP for Ricci to use for testing purposes. I forget the exact response, but he basically thanked me and said he'd keep me in mind. Since then Audioholics has joined with him.

It was purely just 2 cents advise that's all.
I don't know about unequivocally
but I do know I have 2 great subwoofers.
good fun

Well, hopefully he feels like calling you up one day and taking you up on that offer smile.gif

While it's a nice enough graph is that indoors or outdoors? What about the rest of the measurements, ie distortion, waterfalls, CEA 2010 max output tests, etc? And most important, all of this by a credible 3rd party.
