Offroad Games for xbox 360

I have looked at Best Buy, Game Crazy and Walmart for offroad x-box 360 games and can't seem to find any. Are there any available for xbox 360? Also do normal xbox games play on xbox 360? From a lot of articles and reviews I've read the xbox 360 is just as powerful if not more than PS3. And I can get an xbox 360 because everyone has tons of them in stock. Best Buy has a tower of them in one of the isle. Sams Club has a bundle pack also which is pretty good. I have two younger children under 6 and want some games for them as well. I have an DLP HDTV so I want to get one with HD connectivity.

AFAIK there aren't any... All we can do is wait for Colin McCrae DIRT, and with any luck Rallisport Challenge 3!!!

That is lame. I would think they would have at least one. I saw some Hummer game for Orig. Xbox but it looked lame.

I just discovered last night that Rallisport Challange is now backward compatible w/360. Well worth picking up!

MX vs. ATV Unleashed (Xbox) is backwards compatable with the 360. It's holding me over until there are games like it released specifically for the 360.

I would like to see an XBOX answer to the PS3s Motor Storm. Looks fun, but I am not getting the PS3.
Really? I had just assumed that there had to be a few games available for the 360. My wife absolutely loves ATV Offroad Fury for the PS2, I had just assumed that there was something comprable (well better) for the 360. Nothing at all right now, huh? Hmmm...this may put a damper on the purchase of a 360 for me right now.

I did manage to check out the PS3 Motor Storm, and it did look like a lot of fun. Now way in the world I'm paying $500 for a PS3 though.

Isn't that game 1080i too?

Does Halo's Warthog count One of my favorite all-time game vehicles.

Does anyone know if Hummer Badlands is backward compatible and will work on the 360? I bought it from Sams Club and don't want to open it if I am going to get that famous screen that says this game doesn't work.

ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 is an xbox title that is compatible with the 360. and looks and plays very well.

Looks like Dirt is going to be the answer to PS3's motorstorm.

Don't forget that Sega Rally Revo is also coming out for Xbox 360 this year. That and Colin McRae have me drooling.

Colin McRae 04 is also backwards compatible.

Flatout 2 is coming to the Xbox 360 this summer. This is good arcade-style racing, much of it offroad.

I like off road games, but I like the pig roasts, cheap beer, trashy women, and hillbilly mentality that goes along with this sport much more

I dont know if its 1080i or not, but I just saw my brother-in-law playing it on his 360 and it looked really good. I thought it was a 360 game.

that isn't saying much as Motorstorm is a bit 'light'.

What ever happened to Grand Raid Offroad? They haven't show anything new in ages.

Colin McRae looks to have a lot of potential.

Do backwards compatible games that supported 1080i or 720p on Xbox 1 support those modes on the 360? I'm not convinced that they do.

And comparing Colin McRae to Motorstorm is like comparing the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy to an episode of a TV show. Colin is set to have something like 90+ tracks. (Gamespot says 55+ but other previews have said more.)

On the orignal Xbox mabye, on the 360's emulator games are scaled from their standard 480 line rendering modes.

Here's a question I pose to the forums:

Since Microsoft owns the IP for RalliSport Challenge (and therefore can hand out the IP to whatever developer they wish), who would you pick out as that developer?

1. Microsoft Game Studios (Forza 1)
2. Bizarre Creations (PGR1, 2, & 3)
3. EA (who now owns most of DICE which developed RalliSport 1 & 2)
4. Turn10 (Forza 2)

I choose you Turn10! (picka, picka) for a pretty good looking and so far great playing Forza 2. Use those physics and attention to detail and add mountains, dirt, mud, snow, rain, grass, and Live support and you can make Forza 3 and the next RalliSport!

Dirt is on the PS3 too and it's a rally game, nothing like MS.

I've only played the demo on PS3 at BestBuy (which seems to crash all the time) and thought it was pretty cool. If Dirt is better then that is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sega Rally Revo baby!!!

I really miss that game and when the MX vs. ATV came out thought it was the sequel to my dismay as it was really lame compared to the Quad Power Racing Game and had no sense of speed of the former and was huge disappointment, as long as 360 has been out that it's really disappointing they've failed to fill that void and it seems they are recycling the SOSO of certain types and leaving a void in others. How could they fail to present a follow-up to Rally Sport on 360? Well being patient for the Elite since mine suffered the 3 rings of death in recent weeks so I don't have a player temporarily and the PS3 game selections are pretty anemic or much more so than 360.
