I hate having already seen these 4 episodes 11 days ago.

So much to talk about.

Anyone else notice a TON of grain in dark scenes for example when Faiyid was hunting Jack in the sewer. It was extremly distracting but became a non issue in normal light scenes.

Yeah, same here. I'm watching on Time Warner HD on a 50" plasma. It was annoying, but not that bad.

I noticed last year that fox would bit starve 24. Most of the shows were transmitted @ less than 8mb/s, whereas American Idol would be north of 12mb/s. I assume they don't want people making good copies, hurt DVD sales

For myself, it would be more realistic if he fought them anywhere else besides LA.

I think more shocking would have been French terrorists

Jack could take Paris by himself in a 24 hour period - that's even if it took 12 hours to figure out France was behind the threat.

Anyone ever found a site that maybe takes the episodes and edits out all the crap that doesn't really pertain to Jack and the main plot? I'd love to watch that alone, even if some of the subplots have related elements to the main plot. Give me enough with the Jack/main CTU activity scenes/main President scenes to understand the story and I'll be happy.

so whats the chain of command at CTU? I had trouble figuring that one out...whats Chloe's role?

The bitrate 24 is transmitted at really sucks. My local FOX was broadcasting at around 10Mbps. They're broadcasting the local news in SD now @ 13.5Mbps.

I noticed that also, very low rear & Surround Audio levels. But the Commercials were in full 5.1 (very loud!) for the HD Ones!

So, did anybody play any drinking games tonight?

I guess that makes sense but it seemed like Chloe got some type of a promotion...

I have to say that DirecTV's local HD broadcast of Fox was REALLY lacking compared to the real local channel.

It almost did not even look HD.

This is the first time viewing 24 in HD via DirecTV and I was really let down.

OTA quality is much better.

when the helicopters flew behind us, I heard it...turn up your volume!

On another note, I like the angle where Jack looked into the eyes of the guy he tortued and couldn't do it. I think we'll see that played out over several episodes as he tries to recover from being tortued for 20 months.
