Plumbing vent question

Hey guys,
As part of my HT attic build, I am also building a bathroom to go along with it.
I didn't want to place another hole in the side of my house, so I ran to big orange and big blue to see if I could find a 3" y adapter so I can tie the 2nd floor bathroom exhaust with the attic bathroom exhaust, and I thought I saw someone do that here once?

Anyone know where to find a y for bathroom exhaust?

Thanks!

You may want to consider a studor vent. It may be a lot easier. Of course I do not know what the code requirments are for where you live. It is what I am planning on using, as there is no where to run a vent, without a major construction project.

Opps, sorry, I wasn't specific, I am using a studor vent for the bathroom plumbing venting, but I was talking about the exhaust fan for the bathroom in the ceiling.

My bad...

Here is a 4 inch:

You will also need back flow dampers so you are not blowing from one bathroom to the other.

I've been struggling with the name for the part that stops back flow (issue with my cooktop exhaust) just Googled "back flow dampers" and ordered a '6" Duct Spring Loaded Backdraft Damper - RSK6'

Thanks Big

[Edit] However I'm obviously stupid as they were slightly cheaper at www.hvacquick.com

Brit I've got a draft problem with my cook top. The exterior damper likes to stay open and when you stand in the kitchen you can feel the draft. I'm going to go look at the connection and see if I can fit one in under the cooktop. The rest of the system is in finished space.

Thanks for the idea.

Exactly my problem - luckly for me that part of basement is not finished yet

I got around to installing the damper last night - man what a difference it makes.

MY wife wishes I would have completed that honey do item. Right now we lay a bath towel over the vent.

I took a look under the cooktop and discovered I've got a mish mash of venting. It exits the blower one size than the pipe does some 90's and meets up with a different size pipe all held together with a roll of tape (no adapter)

I need to take it all apart and figure out what size to buy. It also looks like I'll have to mount it in a vertical position the opposite of normal bathroom ceiling orientation so I'll need to check if the springs are strong enough for that application.

Big - I don't think that vertical orientation will work to full efficiency. Gravity will hold the damper open a little.....it might stop some draught though.
