I had the service tech come out and this is what I found out.
First off, he told me this has been a problem with Pioneer for a couple of years now, and it is some sort of communication problem with the tv and the TVGOS.
He had the "CABLE CARD" update. All he did was took out my cable card and stuck his in, turned on the tv and the tv automatically downloaded the new software. It changed from -05k to -07k. To find out what software you have, turn your tv on and press and hold the display button.
The top number will be -05k or -07k (from my undestanding)
After the update he reset the tv, and redid the TVGOS set up.
About 30min. after he left I went to check the tv and it was blinking blue AGAIN!!! I turned it on and off and it was back to normal. Half an hour later it was blinking again I turned it on and this time it told me "Please Wait starting up" after a little while it came on and I turned it off. Half an hour later it was blinking again, I turned it on and it came on right away. This happened about 5 or 6 times with just a half hour in between blinking times.
The next morning it was flashing once again, I turned it on and everything seemed to be ok. TV guide was working and all loaded with the channel data and the time was back to normal. Later in the day it lost everything. No TV guide data, time was messed up and of course it was blinking before I tuned it on.
Monday I called the service tech back and told him it might not be fixed yet. He told me the next thing to do is change the main board. He said he will call me back after he checks for a new board.
I will keep you all posted.
RusterK, I will give you the info, just let him fix mine first (I don't want to piss him off)
Any more post or info from pepole with this problem will help us all out.
