you can upload your own work and recieve credits for it to enable you to download. A poor scan with diffrent poster art wont cut it though. "brandsoftheworld" have a load of free logo's in vector and other formats all for free

If you want HIGH RES artwork, go to GENERETIC . Then go to their high res poster section...they've got SO MUCH there. You've gotta pay to d/l the covers...but artwork is free.

genertic has way to much bootleg material for my liking

You obviously have higher standards when it comes to custom dvd cover art.

I haven't recieved any complaints about the scans and everyone seems to enjoy them. I'm pretty anal and print these out first before making them available. They look fine to me.

Now don't get me wrong, RTC has very talented people over there and the customs look great, but I am doing this for free and if people like what I did then RAD hope they enjoy it. But the last thing I need is a critique when all I'm doing is providing covers for free. If you don't like it...don't print it. Pretty simple.

with the available templates theres no need for scanned texts. As for providing covers for free i have no problem with that. Let me know where i can upload my King Kong cover once its finished and eveyone who wants it can have a copy.

Hey Guys,
Been a crazy weekend so far. I jsut fixed the Running Scared zip file if anyone is trying to download it. I will also be updating the Equilibrium Japanese Cover and the Brothers Grimm Japanese cover thanks to a higher res donation from DWTC.
Im going to make a few covers myself and will ahve a section up for PSP THM files (the icons that come up for movies in the PSP) which I have a bunch of nice art I made.

Here's Reign of Fire. I did the best i could without being able to find many hi-res pics.

Ideally, I'd like just a picture and title on the front. Or maybe not even a title on the front, that could go on the back. I don't like all the other stuff blocking up the artwork. The damn useless FBI warnings (ooh, how scary! and how effective!), and all the other stuff. Quotes about the movies are usually idiotic. I suppose cast listing, run times, aspect ratio, audio formats etc are all something that would, if I had my way, be on an insert inside the case.

Thanks!

I have used 10.31in x 5.81in for the regular cases without the side snap flap.

What paper seems to work the best?

I used the HP Glossy 8.5" x 11" paper. The image turned out fabulous. Thanks again.

My only problem is that when I put it in the sleeve, and I press on the sleeve against the image, it leaves like dotted prints of where I pressed down on.

The image is coming off, but rather sticking to the sleeve. I can pull out on the sleeve to unstick it from the picture, but any pressure on the sleeve and it sticks to the image. Just nothing worse than a beautiful cover that is sticking to the sleeve.

If anyone has a solution, let me know. It's not a major problem, but I'd rather it not stick.

How long are you letting it dry?
you should at least wait for 24 hours for the ink to dry on a glossy paper.

It may be worth mentioning that HighDefDigest has an article about custom cover art:

I really like DeathStalker2's "Superman Returns" HD DVD cover. What an improvement over that craptastic cover WB gave us.
Thanks for the Running Scared artwork
Noticed it got the red HD DVD thing at the top. We probably would want to cut that out since the HD DVD covers already has that?

Well it was about 3 hrs.

The other thing is that I have the original one behind it. Would that also be a problem of adding extra pressure towards the sleeve or is that non issue?

I have pulled it out of the sleeve, but it has been over 24hrs since I printed it.
