Samsung DVD-HD860

Thread Starter
Hi all. Searched but couldn't find anything. Does anybody know if there is a way to get the DVD-HD860 player to remember the resolution settings? Everytime I put in a new disc, it defaults back to 480p. I didn't know if there was a hidden service menu or any other tricks with this DVD player.

Thanks.

I don't know. Mine seems to hold the resolution.

HOWEVER, this thing has more bugs than any other piece of equipment I've ever bought!

The first one I had would just turn off on its own, even in the middle of the movie, among other things. The one I have doesn't do that but the picture it puts out looks VERY soft at times. It's just too late to return it. Uggh!!!

I just want to bump this thread because I'm experiencing the same problem with the player resetting the resolution when I put in a new disc.

Thanks for any help

I have it set to auto as well. The progressive option stays on. However, the HDMI option has to be set to 720p or 1080i everytime I turn it on.

Has anyone found a fix to this problem? I have a 50" samsung 1080p TV connected through HDMI and I have to reset the resolution to 1080i every time I turn it on.
