Sharp Aquos 46d62u Service Menu

Hey, I tried posting this in the settings and tweaks thread, but no one replied. When I try to get into the service menu on the Sharp Aquos 46d62u it doesn't work. Now you are supposed to hold volume down + input while the tv is unplugged then plug it in while doing this and a K in a box should pop up on the left side of the screen. From there you are supposed to hold volume down and channel down and the menu will open. But when I hold volume down and channel down nothing happens, what am I doing wrong here?

Unplug TV.
Hold down Vol- and Input on the panel (not the remote), plug TV in
Wait until K shows up
Release Vol- and Input
Press Vol- and Ch<<br /> Service menu should show up.

Be careful, don't mess things up.

The TV must be ON when you unplug the power cable.

Can you get the number of hours a Sharp panel has been on for in the service menu?

Hi all! This is my first post on this forum, so be gentle with me :-)
Anyway, I had trouble getting to the service menu on my D62U as well. I followed all the directions just fine. I did get the "k" on the screen, but pressing and holding the Vol(-) and Ch(-) buttons didn't bring up the service menu (at first). Then I wondered if it was because I was getting a signal on my HDMI port. So, I turned off my AV tuner (routes all my signals) and tried again. Voila! I did indeed see the service menu. I just thought I'd share this with everyone else who had this problem.
