Understand. I'm in a similar fix for my RS1: I CAN mount it 'low', on a stand right behind us, but it would be more out of the way to ceiling mount it at the back of the room. So I am trying to decide which way to go; as you said, if it's a ceiling mount, the HP's gain is </= that of the FH. The Silver Star is then also a possibility, but it has some drawbacks (size limit, price, 'sheen'). Very hard to decide.
My decision chart is as follows:
1) Get the RS1 and show it on a sheet on the wall for a week or so to decide on the size, 120" or 126" diag; also try out placing the RS1 in different locations (stand just above and behind us, or ceiling) to see which meets WAF.
2) If the choice is ceiling mount and > 120", the FH is the only choice. (But is the RS1 bright enough for this?)
3) If a stand mount is OK, then it will certainly be the HP at either size.
4) If 120" is large enough and ceiling mount is the choice, then the decision is between the FH and the SS.
Boy, it gets complicated!
