I would avoid RAM Electronics I've just cancelled another order having been given the run around over the past week and a half around stock (or lack of it). You get a different answer every time you call.

I'm stunned these things are so expensive, even on eBay.

I would second this. Avoid Ram at all costs. I had a weeks-long battle with Ram Electronics over some cables that were lost by Fedex and had their phone CSRs hang up the phone and swear at me. They assumed that I was lying even after teleconferencing Fedex people to confirm the lost package.

I found them rude and unhelpful and had a thread deleted by a forum mod who didn't fully understand the problem and sided with a forum sponsor. I left AVS for a long time over the incident, and now only post occasionally.

I'd definitely recommend Monoprice switchers. I have one for HDMI that's flawless, and their DVI-HDMI cables are of such high quality and such reasonable prices it'd be worth it just to buy an HDMI switch instead. The 2x HDMI manual switch is under $30 dollars and works great. You could probably save money versus other pure DVI switch options, including the cables.

Haven't used Gefen yet but am very interested in their new 1080p Home Theater Scaler. Heard good things about them and their support staff answer questions on their forums very promptly.

Definitely avoid Ram though.
