Show us your screen walls - Page 9

"do you get any reflections off of that glass/steel media and speaker stand."

Nope, no reflections as it is not very large. It is an AV rack solely, not a speaker stand. The components just aren't in the picture as I have to build the mini stage.

I still have a lot of tweaking to do in my room as well as acoustical treatments so it's far from finished (don't we all say that?).

Thanks,

Good, I was hoping you were not done! And yes, we all say we are done. I said that 7 years ago and am still thinking of my next project.

I have been going through some difficulty in getting my pictures posted.

So until I can get things sorted out I will just post my site. It is not the best.

Still need to find furniture but I've been 98% done for a while, just waiting to finalize it all before I post one of those nice threads about the build.

inwalls behind the screen(100"), sub is in corner. room is roughly 12' wide by 18' deep, hard to show scale in photos. The ottoman and deskchair were temporary thefts from other rooms!

Can you provide dimensions of your room as well as the screen.
BTW, nice setup.

Vcook,

What paint colors did you go with. I mean it looks brown but I was wondering on the shade name.

DC: Is your ceiling painted or does it look blue from the blue rope light?

Both rooms look very nice!

What speakers and what screen? Love your room!!
side walls are shaker beige, screen wall is fairview taupe (ben. moore colors). screen is dazian ccc diy job, speakers are dayton audio kevlar mtm, sub is outlaw audio lfm-1 ex. I did the room when I finished my basement this winter, media room was done on a budget and I'm really happy with the results. Maybe I should do a thread soon even though I don't technically have it 100% done (need furniture! just using 2 ikea chairs for now).

Thanks, kezug.

The room is 14' wide and 21' long. The screen is a Carada BW 16:9 screen with a 110" diagonal. Seating distance for the front row is ~11.5', depending on recline. So that puts me at abotu the THX "optimum" veiwing angle, which I like. I was worried about going to big, but 110" definitely isn't too big.

I posted some under construction photos back on page 1. Finally got some good, finished pics of my stage.

Here's mine. Still have a bit of construction to do on it, including equipment cabinet cover, bottom shelf, and some trim work to do. She's working beautifully, though!

EDIT: Fixed the pic, and construction is now done.
Still a work in progress, but I put the screen up a couple of days ago so I'm keen to show it off . It's a 114" wide custom 2.37:1 Carada Precision (Brilliant White)...

120" x 51" screen. This is a test screen made out of canvas, real final one will be SMX. Quick work in progress shot:

I can probably vouch for him when I say, you don't see the pixels at that size. I just set mine up tonight to test the some things. It projecting at 140" and I was sitting about 13" away and it looked smooth and clear. Of course mine was projected on a bed sheet which is very forgiving.

OK, I'll jump in - just finished up this weekend, only minor shimming and touch up to go plus the idea is for a tiled top, so those unfinshed parts of the towers are temporary. Also a matching end table which covers the sub. I built the cabinetry to allow space to run all the cables.

Is that black paint around the screens or something else?
