I had to redo my screen wall to fit some new speakers in -

How does one achieve this type of lighting effect? I have a 120" wide screen and was planning 4 across but I don't know exactly which fixtures and bulbs to get

The best choice is going to be a Low Voltage halogen light using an MR16 bulb. The MR16 series of bulbs have a wide range of beam angles and the reflectors create a very crisp edge which creates the scalloping effect you see on the screens.

Well, I *think* I'm about done upgrading. Can't go any bigger with the screen unless I move the walls. First was my original 106". Recently moved up to 137" AT EN4K screen. Third picture is off my phone, and before I raised the cross member to hold the screen.

What kind of speakers are those? Home-made?

My 120" wide 16:9 (137.7" diagonal" EN4K screen came in last week. Masking panels are coming soon.

Did you get the magnetic bar put in before the screen frame was shipped?

Can you post pictures of the panels?

I didn't know that the magnets needed to be put in the frame until after it was already ordered, so I'm thinking of ordering the friction ones from Seymour, because I can't get anything to fit properly since, as you probably have found out, the screen material is so tight to the frame that it is hard to get anything in between without risking the material, and the frame is tapered, so friction fit is tough.

Not home made. KEF TDM Series from back in the 90s. Sealed, THX certified, (if you care about that), and they were all "free", except for the second sub. (They came with the house) I bought and rehabbed the second sub off eBay.

They really are awesome for their age...

Interesting. I knew KEF made the drivers that shape, but had never seen any with the driver at an angle like that.

They're usually behind a PITA-to-remove speaker sock, which I took off since I was going to an AT screen.

AddUpstate...I tried to send you an email but I'm new to posting, so couldn't until I hit 5 posts..lol. I know this is an old post, but can you help me out to build something similar to your screen wall? It looks very professional and nicely put together. What kind of material is around the screen (black materiel)? At first I assumed your speakers were behind it. Is there a reason they are not? I have my room about done, except the wall for the screen, so any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here is mine although I still have work to do on the trim and touchups.

I also just finished adding led's in the area that the screen lowers from. Its a 100" electric Favi screen. I hope to finish the basement soon.

Very clean! We also appear to have similar carpet although mine is a smidge greyer.

the screen walls changed over the years. Today there are three active studio monitors behind the curved at screen.

Here is a pic of my 130" 2.35:1 Focupix screen. Cost me $268 out the door. I'm a but OCD when it comes to symmetry, but my setup us going to have to remain as is for a few more weeks until I can complete my dual LMS build...
