That's the cropped version of the picture - I don't have the full one any longer.
What it showed was a disorganized mess of a work place, that was essentially a garage (or at least that's how it appeared) with crap strewn everywhere. Not at all what it should have been, given the cost of the products. What's not terribly evident either is the posters/banners/magazine covers in the background. There are a lot of questionable things hanging up their.
I think what turned out to be the biggest surprise for people was what Orb showed on their website, which was strictly the manufacturing
portion. That made it look pretty much like what you might have assumed (hoped?) it would be. That other picture showed the complete opposite, and turned off a lot of people because of how different it was from what Orb was portraying.
Another thing that caused ire was their claim they were American made products, which is partially why I bought from them in the first place. My Super8 was made in China though, which ticked me off when I found that out.
I've since sold off almost all of my Orb stuff (anyone want to buy some black Mod 1's?), so I don't really pay much attention to what they do/don't do at this point, but I see they've changed the wording on their website now. Guess I wasn't the only one who wrote and complained about that bit...
