HD A2 - DVD Audio Issue

Thread Starter
Hey y'all. I guess I'm the newbie on the forum today.

I just purchased Toshiba's HD A2 player and I'm having some issues with my DVD Audio discs.

It gives me the menu screen on the disc for DD or DTS, but not the Advanced Resolution Audio (192kHz / 24 Bit).

Am I doing something wrong in the setup? Or, will it not give me that audio option, because the player only has R/L analog outputs and not surround, as the latter was needed previously to play this?

None of the HD or BD players will play SACD or true DVD-A (except, I believe, for SACD with the PS3).

Panasonic's Blu-Ray player does support DVD-Audio.

Toshiba does not play DVD-Audio.
The only player that supports full DVD Audio playback is Panasonic Blu-ray player DMP-BD10.
