'South Park' in HD on Comedy Central - Page 2

Big-Will on sps.com mentioned that they will unbleep the swear words if possible on the remastered ep's. So now you can enjoy SP reruns in HD. I think they're doing this because they may eventually release these remastered seasons on blu-ray. Re rendering all the old episodes in HD is a big task but I'm glad that Matt and Trey are doing it. Now if only TWC San Diego adds it so I can enjoy it.

My Hopes aren't very high. It looks like they will crop the older episodes. It should be in OAR 4:3 HD not cropping. Keeping my fingers crossed for Season 13 being 16:9 HD.

Cropping does suck. However, as long as they don't employ stretch-o-vision, it's still tolerable.

New episodes, in HD, start Wednesday.

Season 13 starts tonight.

Tonight's episode: The Ring

Hopefully, I'll be able to catch some new episodes in HD come April.

Fantastic episode. Any further comment would probably lead to deletion by the staff of avsforum.

Great episode last night. Loved the way they made fun of the Jonas Brothers and their purity ring.

Mickey Mouse being the head of Disney was hysterical. I was actually hoping that Cartman would kick Mickey's ass like he did with Osama several seasons ago, but that did not happen. Oh well.

Great episode, I haven't watched SP for years now because I always miss their shows, never again!
for those that missed it (and are not aware) you can watch it for free at www.southparkstudios.com
Every episode is there...

And this one is the first available in 16:9 (nice for the many of us out there that don't get Comedy Central HD yet... they center-cut the SD airing) and its also a high quality stream (considering the intended animation quality of the show.... the difference is relatively small).

Brilliant episode - and it looked great. I so wish I had the stones to let my Disney-loving kids watch it, but they're still a couple years away. And Kenny has never been funnier.

My 3 year old happened was there when I watched this, and she asked "what is that red stuff?" referring to the Jonas Brother getting his butt whooped. Glad she's still small and naive to understand the crude humor.

Very funny episode last night. Probably one of the best episodes ever. The 'Coon vs. Mysterion vs. Professor Chaos was great. Really enjoyed the Dark Knight music.

Who was Mysterion? Was it Clyde? I couldn't figure it out.
I think that was the point, they didn't show enough of their head for a viewer to know who it was, but of course all the characters now know.

That was exactly the point. My wife missed that point and was frustrated because she really wanted to know who Mysterion was. I explained it was beside the point.

Just got to watch both new eps on the Tivo. South Park, still funny as ever, and now in HD! The Ring ep was absolutely hilarious. I loved how Mickey was so paranoid of Dreamworks and kept asking if they worked for Dreamworks. Plus, his little "hah hah's" after everything he said... hilarious.
I did not really find last night's episode that funny. If they had not added in Professor Chaos it would have been a complete dud for me.

Season 13 episodes appear to be locked down for streaming until 30-days after they air.

So "The Ring" is not available until 4/11, etc.

Tonights ep was absolutely brilliant writing. I loved every minute of it. That scene with the chicken had me laughing so hard I almost passed out.

Seriously, their take on the whole thing, the satire, mocking the govt decision makers, the religious spin... just brilliant.

Agreed. The chicken scene was hysterical.

This season has been great.

This season has been most enjoyable!

Too bad I don't get Comedy Central on HD, and have to resort to other measures to find this show in HD.

Stupid WOW! cable!

From one of my favorite episodes in quite some time to one of the worst episodes ever (in my opinion).

The South Park guys really are somethin. They can write stuff as brilliant as last week, and then turn around and do the exact opposite with episodes like this one. I suppose they have multiple fan bases to please, and tonight was aiming for the potty humor for sure.

I agree with you about the episode but I have to say, it's funny coming from a person with your username

I have to agree about last nights episode, just want that funny (to me)....

As far as the user name goes I would expect it to refer to the movie of the same name released in 2000, rather then the meaning you were referring to (but I could be wrong).

Heres a link for the movie (btw its worth a watch )

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0208092/

Yeah, it could be the movie, or his last name even. Regardless of its reference it's still going to make me think of one thing first and the others after.

As far as I can see they can do no wrong this season. I have really enjoyed all the episodes.
