Haha, I was thinking the same thing! I stand corrected, and revise my original statement:

This show is great for continuity. INCLUDING the whole, you know, Kenny thing. Great!

Funny how they address my one exception to the rule that this show is great at continuity in this episode, and that I mention it a few days before it aired. This show (and Futurama, too) are outstanding when it comes to episodic continuity.

I'm guessing they thought about that when they put this 3 episode arc together, hence the foreshadowing by showing the whale and Tom Cruise on the moon.

I dunno, this arc feels like a nod to the fans with its in-jokes and references, much like what "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back" was to Kevin Smith fans. Besides the BP oil spill stuff, this is all for long time fans: Mysterion and his "power," the coon, a multitude of references (A Clockwork Orange, My Friend Tortoro, HP Lovecraft [who created the Cthulhu], Lebron's commercial, Neverending Story, etc).

They could have simply done more "typical" episodes like, I dunno, rip on Miley Cyrus, the Jay/Conan fiasco, or whatever, but fans have grown to enjoy these 3 ep arcs (like "Imaginationland") and I for one don't mind one that is a nod to the fans, but still funny.

I'm so gonna get hated on and a troll label...

I never saw Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, don't want to and am not a Kevin Smith fan... I also don't smoke weed which is the only reason sometimes it seems everyone likes him or his stuff...

Anyway, as I sad earlier (I think I did) the A clockwork orange bit was the only semi decent thing so far in these "super hero" episodes. It's all grasping otherwise. A great example of this is Mr. Hindsight... Really?
I take Captain Hindsight as a rip on all those people who come out of the woodwork after an event and act self-righteous about knowing what should and should not of been done. If you knew that something was a bad idea then where were you and your "advice" before said event occurred?
But it isn't funny, it's obvious and the amount that the focused on it (like in family guy) got really annoying.
thought ep 1 of this trilogy was hilarious. didn't find much to laugh at in ep 2.
will go back and rewatch to see if i missed some stuff. watched late before bed
so might have whiffed on some stuff.

The point of the J&SBSB reference was that movie was a big in-joke. If you hate Kevin Smith classics like Clerks, and aren't a fan, J&SBSB would have no value whatsoever to you. If at the time you were a KS fan, you'd enjoy it for being a nod to the fans.

This trilogy appears to be a nod to fans. Rather than all the focus being on their social commentary/satire/etc, they are using this trilogy to bring back stuff we like from SP, do many in-jokes, and yes still have some social commentary [and tons of pop culture references to boot].

But considering it's not a regular SP episode (or set of episodes), if you are incapable of appreciating an "in-joke" self-referential episode, then yeah I could see how someone would not like it. I mean, comparing it for pure social commentary and/or comedic value to say a classic like "Fishsticks?" Fishsticks blows it out of the water, hands down.

That was a pretty awesome trilogy of South Park episodes. I loved it that Mint Berry Crunch had super powers and was the one to save the day; stealing the spotlight away from Mysterion/Kenny. I feel bad for Kenny that no one remembers him dying. I wonder, if Kenny video taped his own death, would the tape auto erase the footage of his death?

Also, it seems like there is an expiration date to Kenny's resurrection powers. Once his mom dies, Kenny won't have anyone to "birth" him back to life. Before that happens, I would like to see an episode where Kenny tries to make money by taking on suicidally dangerous jobs, that no one else wants to do.

Superhero arc was great and funny.

That's all that needs to be said.

"I'm Sorry!"

lol
I fell asleep watching this, don't remember anything. I don't feel like I missed anything either...
Thought they were great. I like how one of the subplots in the trilogy was figuring out who each of the superheroes was, information which was slowly revealed during each episode.

He has also spontaneously popped into existence, so it doesn't just have to be through his mother.

Another fantastic episode tonight. The Shake weight was hysterical.
Why is it my wife always walks into the family room during episodes where Randy is giving it a grab? She thought the Shake Weight was pretty funny, though.
Definitely another good episode. Their ripping of the Shake weight was a million times funnier than SNL's spoof commercial of it.

Unfortunately the season comes to an end reminding us that their seasons are too short (14 again, it's been 14 every season since Season 7 which had 15), and the split up of seasons into an March-April-May half and a October-November half still is very annoying.

sexual stimulation from the food channel. very, very funny.

had to fast forward through a couple of the shake weight scenes
as a little too graphic for pre-teens.

too bad the season is over already. this show is way too funny
to have so few episodes.
The "cab fare" was a unnecessarily over the top - but other than that, funny episode.
They usually have a day or night where they'll replay the whole season. anyone know when for this season?

I want to clean up my DVR and get it set.
Why are pre teens watching south park with you? That seem inappropriate.

tv-ma for a reason.....

I mean... this show has been way more graphic than that

I haven't laughed that hard during a SP episode in a very long time!!

The shake weight was AWESOME!!!

I loved the heart rate monitor, the black model that the woman was having a hard time trying to handle. Loved the "cooling off" mist that was sprayed at the end and the overly cautious use of the shake weight on the beach.

And yet how Randy was talking about cooking food was pretty damn funny as well.

More funny in this one episode then the entire 3 - 4 episode coon & coon and friends episodes combined!

****ing Hilarious episode! Ending was lame though...

Later that night I saw a commercial for the Shaker weight and laughed my ass off (Not that my head didn't go straight to the garbage before the SP episode).

Awesome!

I can't wait, and for this half season, the show following it is "Workaholics," and IMHO, it may be one of the best Comedy Central post-SP timeslot shows ever (not saying much because whatever they try to use that slot for usually is not that great). I've seen the few eps that have aired of that show and to me at least it seems pretty funny.

I caught my first episode of Workaholics over the weekend. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I had to give the show a chance after I saw that the actor who plays Tad in the show Traffic Light is one of the leads.

If quality is consistent, the show could be up there with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League.

Steve Jobs unveils "The Human Cent-iPad" on the new episode. Can't wait.

ok, so I have to say, I have never had a problem with South Park. But I am weary about tomorrow night's episode because The Human Centipede scarred me for life.

Never seen it myself, I have only read the internet folklore of it and the hilarious Tosh.0 spoiler of it.

Just pure awesome.
