EDIT: Another now, Lil' Crime Stoppers. Also season 7, also now in HD. They look really good.

Scott Tenorman Must Die is now in HD on Comedy Central. Looks like they've rolled up to Season 5. Only four left to convert.

I'm still disappointed that "Good Times With Weapons" was ruined when they converted it to HD 16x9. The epic anime scenes were originally framed in scope aspect ratio while the standard scenes were all 4x3, and now the whole show is 16x9.

TV Notes
'South Park' to return on Oct. 5, and all the way through 2013. Kick-ass.
By Aly Semogran, EW.com's 'Pop Watch' Blog - July 19th, 2011

A celebratory dinner at Casa Bonita is in order, PopWatchers: The date for the second half of the 15th season of South Park has been announced! Comedy Central confirmed to EW that the animated series will be returning on Wednesday, October 5 at 10 p.m. The latter half of the 15th season will include seven new episodes.

The network also likely put the fears of many fans to rest that the show's creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were calling it quits after they alluded to a possible end to the series during June's mid-season finale You're Getting Old. Parker and Stone are signed on through 2013, Comedy Central told EW, which will bring the show to a staggering 17 seasons. So while it seemed like the duo had one foot out the door (and the other one on the Broadway stage with their Tony-winning hit musical Book of Mormon), South Park fans can breathe a sigh of relief, and inhale a few more Cheesy Poofs, for at least another two years.

But I'm curious: Are you happy to hear this news, PopWatchers? I can't imagine many of you wouldn't be, as you voted South Park the greatest animated television series of all-time. Does this news make the surprisingly touching You're Getting Old feel a little less poignant? Or are you just relieved to know there's still at least a few more seasons of hilariously offensive adventures to be had from Colorado's funniest foul-mouthed fourth graders?

New episodes return Wednesday.

It will be interesting if there are any real changes or if it is the same old formula.

There was a few LOL moments but nothing to special on the return...

Agreed. The only funny part was Cartman Burger.

I liked it although my friend's asked me if they consulted me before making this episode as well as the last one... :\\

I laughed throughout.

It probably wasn't far from the truth.

I liked the use of the Darth Vader audio clip when Randy was upset over his yard work not getting done.

This week's ep is easily an instant classic. If any of you read the EW article about what Trey and Matt call the best and worst eps ever, they mentioned that there are many great Cartman-Butters eps. I think this week in the war room they realized we were due for another classic Cartman-Butters ep and man, did this deliver!

Mantequilla!!!!

On that note I saw their special making an episode in 6 days. $%#*ing nutts. It is amazing how far technology has come too.
The "making of" special really made me respect the animation team for the amount of work they have to do in little time. But, making an episode within a week with no intention of including very recent references of significant import seems pointless to me.

Also, the special made Bill Hader look like someone who just hangs around the office to laugh at Trey's ideas. While I'm sure he's been quite helpful as a consultant, he was not portrayed as being particularly useful.

This episode was one of the best in a long time. I also watched the 6 days to air special and it clearly shows why some episodes fall flat or only part of an episode is good.

I completely agree after having to suffer thru the ****** season finale last season and this season's premiere.

Kinda like the newest episode...

It was good up until they revealed who was doing the postings, then it was bad. So they came up with a good idea but ran out of time to develop it into a good episode.

Not the best episode, really more an "in-joke" episode for us hard core fans, with all the Lemmiwinks stuff. When I heard about a rumor website, thought we might get a full on parody/satire of TMZ, but sadly it was not meant to be.

Oh well, here's hoping next week is an instant classic...

After watching it I was thinking how much better it would have been to have a miniature Harvey Levin spreading the gossip.

Instant classic tonight. I challenge anyone who disagrees with me to a "bro down."

Great episode last night.

The kid drowning because he didn't have his life preserver on was brilliant. I didn't see it coming because I was too busy laughing at them ripping on Spiderman the musical. Great episode last night.

I don't know much about it but I read that it was plagued with technical problems, which is why I figured SP had Randy swinging around destroying stuff.

Spiderman - the most expensive Broadway show ever produced... by far...

Loved everything but the bro down. Still, best episode in quite a while.
