I don't know the answer.

But others I have seen only connect directly to a computer. The receiver itself is a device that you connect to a computer.

As opposed to the receiver being "like a computer" in that you can connect devices to it's USB port.

But again, I am not sure which of these is true (or if perhaps both are true in some sense) for the Pioneer receivers.

Actually the amplifiers should support usb devices to play mp3 and wma audio files

directly off them,my efforts are aimed to see and list all the devices compatible in a

way to help me and all the others havin an Pioneer amplifier with USB in,if it can be

conencted directly to a pc i dunno altho the manual doesnt say that but doubt it does

support that...

So if anybody did try some usb devices, please list theirs brand model, or even pictures if u got some, as well where you bought it,thanks to all again for the cooperation.

I've got a HTIB RCA unit I paid all of 150 bucks for at Walmart. I bought it just to use on my pc. It actually has a usb input on it but I've never tried to use it since my input device is the computer itself. Still, it's intriguing. I have to say just for the record that this RCA is sweet for the money. Sub out along with several sub modes (right now I'm running two addit'l power amps with twelve and fifteen inch subs). Must say it's pretty impressive although I doubt there's any video swithing in it. By itself without the extra subs it's acceptible for the money and I'd have to recommend it for anybody who wanted to link a good powered sub up with it as an extremely inexpensive h/t audio solution.

Enjoy.
