Wiring wall mount

As an electrician I have to wonder how you guys go about wiring a small LCD mounted on the wall? Other than some type of surface mount conduit (Wiremold for example) how else do you hide the wires?

My main concern is smaller LCDs, I am looking to mount one on the kitchen wall with a low profile mount (since you will see it from the side). This TV has one of those power bricks. It would be against code for me to run that wire coming out of the power brick thru the wall (even tho it's low voltage, it's still not rated for in wall use).

What I would typically do with a plasma is install a clock receptacle on the wall behind it this way I could plug right into it behind the unit, code compliant. But the power brick of a small 17" TV with a low profile mount is tricking me.

Advice?

Could you not enclose the power brick in some type of very large in-wall junction box? They'll get hot, but if it's large it might be okay

I'm sure there are many ideas and options. I just finished a room designed for a flat panel TV and I used the Leviton Recessed Entertainment Box (REB). You can buy it at a supply house or Home Depot for about $25. Check out the link below for more info.

Leviton REB

I also have detailed pics of the design and construction since I mounted it to one stud and then added a block to offer more support so it was secure and not flimsy like a 4 gang box could be. I wanted to be sure the plasterers would not goof this up. If you want to see the before and after pics showing the Carlton ResiGard raceway and wiring I have them all.

If it's in the kitchen is there a cabinet above the LCD?

If so, how about extending the romex up behind the wall cabinet and put a out there there (Like in the cabinet above a built-in microwave oven). Then just leave the power supply and cors in the cabinet and drill a small hole in the bottom above the TV.
