Which is it- you received an email from them stating your speakers were delayed? Or you came across it on their website?

If you came across it on their website I would agree with the others, you're probably fine. They're easy to get a hold of, do a live chat tomorrow or call to get a firm anwer.

Sorry for the confusion.

I saw the new release dates while browsing, emailed them to ask about MY ORDER specifically, and got a reply stating that part of my order was in stock but that the Bravus and Dipoles are delayed into July. I found out about this initially though by myself . . . NO ONE contacted me until I emailed asking for confirmation . . .

I was then told "don't worry, they are worth the wait."

Which is great but the problem is it is hard to believe that they truly think a one month delay is inconsequential. MANY people buy speakers as parts of home theaters especially Aperion speakers so why wouldn't they think that I might have a T.V. or an AVR also in the works and that release date delays may have significant repercussions?

It may influence what AVR I get as I stated in my previous post and for some buyers they buy OTHER speakers that are available sooner.

At the very least, I think I deserved an update if this is true.

To add insult to injury I think the guy who emailed me the news that my order would be delayed MIGHT be the same guy I spoke to on the phone "confirming" that my order would be fulfilled on time or even earlier!

If you're really that bent out of shape, vote with your wallet and buy something else instead. Otherwise, just get them to send you the mains and run 3.0 until the subs and surrounds come in on the boat. You'll probably be surprised how satisfactory that interim setup is.

That is a great idea. You know, the 30 day trial does not start until you get your entire order. If you take the 3.0 setup, it will give you time to break them in a bit. The sound of these puppies improves substantially after a good 30-40 hour break in. I know this is easy for me to say, as I already have mine, but they are indeed worth the wait.

Hey Dennis,

We always get information out to our customers as soon as it becomes available. In regards to your 5DBs you will be receiving those from the 6/19 ship date, my apologies that you were told otherwise but you were very close to the cutoff date for the later shipment as your order came in May and some folks put in their orders in February.

As for the Bravus 12Ds we just learned yesterday that we would not be receiving this shipment until July and we fully intend to get this information out to all of the customers who are waiting for them today. Not that it excuses the delay, but you just happened to e-mail us in the 24 hour time period between us confirming that the shipment would indeed be late and passing that information along to those who have back orders.

We do understand that the subwoofer delay is longer than it should be, and we are fully prepared to work out a solution that is acceptable to all parties. Please feel free to give us a call or e-mail us again and we will help you out the best we can.

I just ordered the 6T towers in black along with the 6C center.

At this point I am at the try for 30 day part of the experience. Im excited by the fact that only about 2% return the speakers; this says a lot since the ship back is free!

I have listened to just about everything at my local B&M stores and cant find the sound Im looking for (with in my budget). So far the customer service at Aperion has been outstanding, with all my questions being answered. I really hope these are the sound that Ive been searching for!
I am sure you will be a "happy camper" once the speakers arrive. I had the upgrade bug bite me so I am upgrading to the 6ts from the 633 towers and 634 center to the 6c. Shipping out in mid june...the new 6ts are suppose to be top notch speakers, although the 633's sounded pretty awesome.

6T's arriving a day early (tomorrow)! Kind of a bummer, they were about 3 miles from me at work this afternoon, but I forgot my wallet at home so no chance of me picking them up early. Now they have to deliver them 30 miles, and hopefully my wife will be up (working evenings) in time to sign for them in the morning!

Axiom M80's have been shipped, eta is a week away yet.

I just wanted to post a follow up to my situation. Caleb from Aperion emailed me AND called me within 12 hours of my complaint and really took good care of me.

Not only did he do research to find out my EXACT date (which was NOT July but in June) but he also is going to provide a Bravus 10 inch subwoofer until my delayed 12 inch ships in July. In addition, he also gave me credit for a free speaker cable for the problem in the email.

He was extremely courteous, helpful, and most importatnly proactive over the phone. I was very impressed with how much he cared about resolving my issues.

All I can say is that at the end of my phone call with me, I was completely satisfied and that Aperion's dedication to customer satisfaction is well warranted.

The most important thing I have to say about them is that they are PROACTIVE and AGGRESSIVE. There was a problem, they acted IMMEDIATELY to resolve it, and they also went overboard to make sure I felt I was important and a priority to them. I have RARELY received that type of VIP service before and felt I needed to represent them fairly on this board.

Thanks for reading.

Question on setting up the center channel.
My LCD TV is in the corner and I will put the LR speakers on stands. My TV stand does not have enough space below (too low for the center channel). What is the best way to place the center speaker? Are there stands that can be attached to the top of the TV?

My center speaker is a 532-C.

TIA

Another good experience to add to the list....

My 30 day trial period was coming to an end on the old intimus line when I upgraded to the new 5B's, 5C and 4B's...the only problem was that the new 4B's weren't going to be shipping for another month. They let me keep my old 422's for an extra month before the 4B's were delivered to my doorstep so that I could have surround speakers. Called them up once they arrived and sent me shipping labels...So I basically had the 422's in my home for two months. They could have easily said that I needed to turn them back in before the 30 day trial period ended then I would have been without surrounds for a month.

Same kinda accommodation for myself when I ordered the 5B's. I missed the 4/15 ship date by 1 order so I was sent a pair of Cherry 5B's to have until I received the black ones... This will be the only company I buy speakers from..

Hey Jason.
I was wondering if I was supposed to get an SPL meter with my 7.0 system? I thought I was, but never did. Just let me know. BTW the 633s, 634, and 422s are AMAZING and pretty to look at too.

Get a room.

6T's are in the house! (cherry)
SPL meter however had a hard time getting out of Portland apparently, and won't be here til tomorrow (Fed ex hold up, not Aperion's).

Wow, you don't realize quite how big and heavy these things are until you have to unbox them and take them upstairs. Axioms should be here Friday, they made it across the border without issue today. Unfortunately, I might end up keeping whichever speakers I run into the wall with first...

Anyway, got them hooked up, about 6 feet apart, to the inside of of my Cambridge Tower II's. Not really going to make too much of a comparison yet until I get a few good hours on them first. Their bass extension seems to a bit lower, but I expect that might change after some more play. The biggest difference I noticed immediately is the wide sound stage. Listening to Blue Man Group Live, track 1 Above, it starts off with the first guy playing just off to the left of center, second guy comes in in the middle, few seconds later the third comes in just off to the right of center. A bit later the rest of the percussionists and guitars come in. With my CSW being about 8 feet apart, this all happens in a space of about 3 or 4 feet in the center. With the Aperions being closer together, their soundstage spans to well beyond where the CSW sit (8 ft), quite a difference...

More to come in a few days. As of right now I'm thinking I won't be ordering any more towers...I'm already not looking forward to packing up one of the sets, but I've got a couple of weeks to get over it.

How would the Yamaha 633 @ 95 per channel pair up with the 5B Harmony's, for a 19 X 20-25 room ? I can't afford the 6 series. I will be hooking to a LN52a650 and using for HD movies and music on occasion?

They will work fine together.. Another owner has the v661 and it is working fine for him.. Just make sure you set the impedance to 6ohms in the receiver..

Not exactly true, Dan has had some issues with the 661 and 5B configuration.

Personally I like Onkyo, Marantz and Denon better for pairing with Aperions.

What problems was he having? I saw him mentioning that setting the receiver to 6ohms cleared up a problem for him..

I am running a STR-DA3300ES and so far has been working great..

Here's a really nice comparison he did between the 661 and an Onkyo 550 with the 5Bs:

Hey everyone,

Been loving reading how satisfied everyone is with their speakers. I am in love with my 6 532L/R's, 532C, and S12 sub. I'm thinking about eventually upgrading the front soundstage to towers and a larger center, but I digress.

My real question has to do with raising my rear channel 532's. I was reading a lot about speaker placement, and everyone seems to say that you want your rear channels 1-2 feet higher than your other speakers (and your ears).

I have the 532 stands from Aperion, so they are all the same height!

So...I'm wondering if any of you have any clever ideas (or examples of things you have done yourself) to raise the aperion stands 1-2 feet. I was thinking of just putting a few 2X4's underneath, but that doesn't necessarily have WAF...Black 2x4's???

If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them. I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this type of question.

Aperion rocks.

My receiver will be the 663 vs 661 which is a 2008 model. Your reply addresses the 661

5 wpc isn't going to make much of a difference.

Not really a problem just a sound preference kind of thing...I've chatted about it in the Aperion forum...Just seems the Onkyo gives a wider soundfield then the Yammy escecially in 2.1 channel music. My 5B's sound like a totally different speaker with the Onkyo...And the Onkyo I'm using is from a HTIB...

661 has same circuitry, sound processing and Burr Brown Dacs as the 663...Just like I would expect my Onkyo HTR 550 to sound the same as as a new Onkyo 606...Same WRAT (wide range amplifier ciruitry)..

Jason,
Just curious have you ever had the opportunity to Compare a Yamaha RX-V series AVR with a mid Grade Onkyo 500-600 series on Aperions?

If so what were your observations? Could be that I'm not setting up my Yamaha correctly...

I have not, but I have noticed other customers not getting as much output out of their Aperions as they would like with Yamaha receivers more so than other brands.
