I don't know, I think I liked the forum better before, however we are moving forward.

Plasma is similar to the old and now obsolete vacuum tube sets in that they have nice eye candy, but lots of negative factors. People realize that LCD technology although currently lacking in color spectrum has lots of positive factors, not the least of which is that they are getting better and cheaper very rapidly. I'm sure all the AV salesmen out there are bummed, but HDTV will go the way of all other consumer electronics, from high margin tickets to virtual commody blisterpak at the walmarts of the world. Of course there will always be those who can afford to spend $50,000 on a stereo amp, but they get what they deserve

This is the type of crud I'd be happy not to see in general as it neither informs, nor is technically accurate, nor is it intelligent debate. I guess it does point out the only plus to splitting the forums- the converts can preach to the choir and I don't have to read their BS, but I think the ignorant are less served by the split. But time marches on. I don't really spend much time on the FP forums these days other than to see what new models are announced with what features and to check what SED isn't doing these days. YMMV.
