Found the UPS guy in my parkinglot and asked him if I could have my package early. He looked at me funny but then realized he had a box for me. Usually he comes at like 3pm but I didn't wanna wait so I found him around 10am.

thats
Batman Begins
Harry Potter 4
T3
The fast and the furious
Serenity
Backdraft
Jarhead
we were soldiers
water world
the mummy

I'm waiting for the UPS guy to deliver my ********** router with internal hard drive. Gonna pull out the tiny 160 gb hard drive and replace it with a Seagate 750 gb drive. I cannot wait. Torrent downloading without a computer!

Congrats! And is that the HD-A2 player? Looks like you've got your movie watching setup for at least the rest of the year.

well having had the player a few days now we've watched 5 HD DVD's on it including harry potter (IME rocks)
and about 5 SD-DVD's on it and I gotta say it's scaler kicks my old ones butt.
Previously I was using a Samsung HD-860 DVD player to upscale dvd's to 1080i.
the toshiba's ability is very noticably better at scaling up standard DVD's compared to the samsung. I guess thats part of the extra cost but I was surprised at just how big a difference it actually made.
Madagascar looked like it was a HD-DVD and LOTR trilogy looks fantastic.

Yeah it's an A2.
couldn't put up enough money for a XA2 and didn't want to risk having issues with an XA1(really wanted analog audio but oh well)
I'd rather take the extra $500 the XA2 would have cost me from sears and either buy a new reciever or a BD player so I can watch some of the exclusive titles.

Though since my Kenwood reciever has started to flake out I think it'll be time for me to hunt down a deal on a Yamaha RX-V2700

On days when I'm expecting something--I usually try the laying down in the street, thing---This is 'only' when I see the truck--- I'm not crazy----all that much.
I love WW even after multi views;but the 1st on HD- P&S first rate,to me.
I myself got a suprise yesterday: I had been waiting since Nov.16 for the WireWorld Silver Ref.HDMI cable. Well; I wasn't even in the street but the UPS guy was at my door---lo and behold,he had my cable. I had used the cable that came with my XA1---Then bought a WW gold5.---This is my first hdmi setup. I also have the SA8300.
Having used 2 dif. hdmi's beforehand---I can tell you the silver ref. is worth its exobadant price;to me---Going into a Ruby.---So, all the dribble about a cheap cable--- One might try one of these cables and make up their own mind about how much cable is to much.

Lots of people like it -- others feel duty bound to give the raspberry. You tell me which is more mature.

I'd guess it's the brand the forums "sponsors" don't offer.

Learn how to take a joke, he did.

No reason to interpret it as a joke, just the typical "good natured" pointing out of one's error in taste -- and author's reaction clearly recognized it as such. It's about time people got off the bash "Waterworld" bandwagon and recognize that although it was over budget and starred Kevin Costner (who was popular to bash at the time) and (due to all the unnecessary but "in" bad press) didn't do well at the US box office -- it has done just fine in sales later.

The sad thing is that the riders of the bandwagon cause many on this forum to forever apologize for liking and enjoying the film, such a the frequent phrase "a guilty pleasure". Their concern is that unless one prefaces their liking with an apology, they will get jumped on -- of course, they typically evoke jibes anyway (like the above).

In other words -- No joke to take, and he didn't!

I've had poor experience on more than one occasion with UPS customer service. I will use another shipper from now on if I can.

Nice selection of movies BTW.
