I wonder if anyone has any information on this movie being released on blu-ray? It was one of my favorite movies of 2006.

I'm not sure if it's a Warner film or not, but if it is, it'll be released on both formats on the same day. Also a similar film, The Prestige is coming in Feb for Blu-ray.

Amazon lists the studio as 20th Century Fox

The film was ok. Edward Norton as usual was awesome, but the story was a bit weak for my taste.

This is for the SD DVD-

Product Details
Rating:Rating: PG-13

Release Date: 2007-01-09

So why not a BR release then?

One of my favorite movies of the year. Can't wait to see it in HD cuz the cinematography was really beautiful.

I agree....the cinematography was just fantastic.....I really felt I was part of that world, and I do not think dvd will give me that same feeling (which is why I really would love this on blu-ray).

I did also pre-order 'The Prestige', which I enjoyed....although I prefer the Illusionist.

You are one astute fellow.
In association with that........on Nov.1 at a Gala ceremony at the Skirball Center in L.A. (standing room only), Steve Scott (EFILM) was honored by his colleagues with Outstanding Color Correction - Feature Film in a DI process for........................... the Illusionist.

Quite an achievement.

So, do we have any more information regarding this release to Blu-Ray or not?

Would love to see this in HD as well.

I rented the DVD a couple of weeks ago. It's an ok movie, nothing too special. I thought the relationship felt forced, especially since they barely spend any time together.

And casting Rufus Sewell as a bad guy is starting to feel REALLY cliche.

The encode on Xbox Live Marketplace, even "only" in 480P is quite impressive and could easily pass for HD at a lower tier. Having said that I would like to see this title in proper 1080p but for those with a 360 check it out on marketplace.

Hi everyone, I am 21 years old college student and I am looking for a career in stage magic show and I want to be an international magician. What course should I take? Where in the world can a person study or take a professional career course in stage magic or the art of illusion to qualify as magician and to be able to follow the like David Blaine? Please help me. Thanks a lot in advance.

Try a magic forum: http://magictricks.ultimatemagic.com/forum/

Outside of that -- any word on a blu-ray release of this title? There's an import, but I'd like US release.

Any aspiring magician would be able to figure this out on their own instead of asking the question in a HD forum. I don't think you have much of a future as a magician. Perhaps a job as an HD player repairman?

This thread is like 2 years old, and it's being rezzed by someone asking for help with becoming a magician?
