I have a brand new 50" Samsung DLP 1080p sitting in a box waiting to be picked up at Best Buy for my new house.
I've had the PS3 since the begining of January, and I've played it on my current Toshiba 35" flatscreen SDTV a couple of times via the s-video from my PS2. Everything still looks pretty amazing, but I'm dying to get that new tv set up with HDMI.
I haven't bothered setting up the PS3 with the wireless, so when I have it hooked up to the network via wired, I am actually using a 13" flatscreen crt SDTV. Motorstorm still kicks ***. This is how I've played the most.
I loaned it to a friend from work over the weekend who has a new Panasonic 42" plasma, and went over on Monday, and it certainly made me ready to get everything set up in the new place.
The start was rocky to say the least for Sony, but I think 2007 holds a lot of promise. They've got fairly deep pockets to correct their course, and a good track record with games.
I can't wait for Oblivion in 1080p.
