Looks like we have a new place to buy HD-DVD's. There prices look pretty reasonable, plus free shipping.

Newegg

Good deal!

Don't understand how it is better than amazon? Free shipping and lower prices than newegg. Don't get me wrong as I have used newegg for years, but they are higher!

Is it just me or was this posted a few months back?

Good price on Slither. $20.89. Backordered though.

Dang, the 2 titles I wanted they do not have. Fearless and Miami Vice.

Amazon is not a better price for people who have to pay sales tax. Looks like I will be doing more business with Newegg.

I thought Newegg included sales tax for people in Washington. I could be wrong though.

This is good news for Blu-ray!....

Sorry Couldn't help myself.
Good find, but deepdiscountdvd has the same prices, free shipping, and no sales tax for me in Washington....
Amazon is still cheaper since you can get 10% off. When the 10% Amazon promotion ends I might consdier Newegg as a secondary source but not until then. The prices at Newegg seem to be inline with AMazon before the 10% discount.

What I liked is that they take Paypal. Now with Paypal you dont have to buy off Ebay or really overpriced sites/stores. I had some Paypal I wanted to use up obviously.

Awesome.... I love newegg.

Everything I have ever ordered from Deep discount has taken like 7-10 days to get here. I am not that patient...even to save a few bucks.

Err...couldn't you have just cashed it out and spent that anywhere?

They must have gotten quicker since the last time I used them. I quit buying there because everything took 2-3 WEEKS.

Don't think so ... I've not bought from them for a while, but no tax when I shopped last time.

BTW, didn't someone start a thread in the main area when newegg has some BD (drive ?) for sale ?

I just ordered Rattle & Hum today, since Amazon still doesn't acknowledge the fact that it has been released. (And I've rented it before, so I know what I'm getting into)

The free shipping is Media Mail ... Isn't that supposed to be super slow?

I've bought 4 times at Deep discount and it usually takes 5-10 days until it arrives in Spain!! Maybe they're faster because I have to pay $8.95++ for shipping :P
However, they are the cheapest i've found on most HD DVD's if i buy 2 or more, even with the extra for shipping. At least for us in europe

It depends. I've had a couple of orders from Buy delivered in 3 days, while others took more than 2 weeks.

I love Newegg, but have to pay tax...and can't get the 10% amazon discount - only the 1.1% preferred account discount

A good place to price check though.

That's because it ships by media mail which is the same as what Newegg is using. It's cheap but slow.

Yeah but then it would be in my checking account and would probably been used to pay bills. My Paypal is my unaccounted for mad money.

Anyone else notice that not a single title is in-stock and many that have already been released are listed as pre-order?

That have some great prices on select titles, but if it takes awhile to get stock...may not be a great deal for those impatient types like myself.
My order shipped and most were in stock accept the last page.

I've spent thousands at Newegg and there is definately no tax in WA state. Makes it preferable to Amazon for at least Washingtonians. The only HD-DVD I have left to buy isn't there, though - Fearless (was dangerously close to buying the DVD before I double-checked).
