I'm planning on purchasing a Panny S52S DVD player:
Panny S52s
The on-floor tech recommends I get this Monster Cable but I think $45 for a digital coaxial cable is kinda' steep.
Sooo... I found this at monoprice:
Digital Coaxial Audio from monoprice
The only thing that irks me is that it's labeled as a "subwoofer" cable.
Are they the same thing???
I'll be hooking up the panny to an Onkyo HTR540 receiver (I think that's the one - it's the receiver that comes with the Onkyo 790 HTIB solution). THe manual says I will need to connect via optical or coaxial for true Dolby Digital Surround Sound - this is my first venture to any of this stuff, and I'm super confused! Please let me know if the above monoprice cable is indeed the coaxial cable I need to pump full digital audio from the panny dvd player to my receiver - thanks!
